I am only trying to repair systems damage. Using the manage repairs screen shows the least time to make the repairs. That's what I chose.

Big ships take a long time to repair even system damage. When Prince of Wales was almost sunk, it was taking two or three days to repair each point of system damage. That in a level 8 port.

Yeah, and there is more than 50% to repair. Major flotation damage is so high, plus major engine damage to slow the journey, I just want to get all or a substantial part the of the systems damage repaired so she does not flood and sink on the way to the shipyard.

� We might have to reduce the battleship bombardments to allow a few battleships to repair systems damage and to allow some catch up for the AKE to rearm. They are still rearming the battleships but with so much of that and other activity at size 4 Pagan there have not been enough base ops points to reload all the AKE every day.

� It's possible we will execute the Babeldaob operation in less than two weeks. In that case we will need two of the battleship TF's to bombard on landing day. No shock attack required there AFAIK but getting troops ashore in good shape is always better.

� 1,418 AV at Saipan; the USMC division has high disruption still, but lots of time to recover. I just divided the three divisions on Saipan into /A/B/C Rgts to see if they recover any faster on net. Most devices are pretty good in the units, it's mainly the infantry squads I want to recover faster.

� Looks like a small supply convoy heading for Babeldaob.

� Among the units which assaulted today the highest Disruption is 20% and the armor (assaulted yesterday) is fully recovered; all units except the motorized Bde (high proportion of disabled infantry squads) will assault tomorrow to try and retreat enemy remaining in the hex. What I meant was, can you target the hex with an airstrike? If so, then even if the tankers are not targeted the mine sweeping ships may be and think of a long ranged attack from US Naval 4Es or even Wimpy Bombers! Maybe to include part of the bomber force on a very narrow Naval Search arc covering that hex?

Well, mine laying by aircraft is only done against ports anyway, but that area is too far away until/unless I put B-29's at Watampone.

I see where that hex is now.

But the idea of covering minefield with a naval airstrike I think is a good one. Unless the mine sweeping vessels are covered by fighters, it could be a slaughter!

Of course, a narrow attack vector away from enemy bases would work nicely anywhere there is shipping to be found.
