Hey guys,

I've started working on creating a 5K map scale of the ACW. I've got a complete OOB setup, Map is 70% done and all the bells and whistles are getting added. Getting excited to see it come together. Here are a couple Map shot for preview...

NOTE: Map hexes are based on elevation and not just hex type. 100 meter to 2,000 meter elevation...

Note for Bob! This would be even better if the Leader updates were ready. :)

That's it for now. Will keep you updated when I get closer to testing.

What is the effect of the elevation changes- or is this just ornamental?

Hi golden delicious,

The terrain elevation will have an impact on combat and movement cost. The hexes were realigned to benefit the higher elevations and movement cost increases as you increase your altitude.

OK. I'm comparing, for example, the quite high ground around Lexington, KY (298m) with the low lying ground around Fredericksburg, VA (18m) and I have to say I would expect to move and fight more easily through the former. Elevation isn't really a good guide to how difficult the ground is.
