Hello everyone welcome to the AAR this game has been going for quite a while now , we are in January 1943 and situation is complicated.
This is a coop game with my friend Dutchy , he is controlling India and Aleutians fronts. I am controlling Australia and South Pacific.

Here is the strat map ;

Some history for this game ;
Game started with all IJN CV's hitting Pearl Harbor really hard , crippling every single combat capable ship and followed up by a rapid invasion of surrounding islands and eventually invasion of Pearl Harbor.

Allies quickly lost control in central pacific after Pearl Harbor fell so we focused on holding Southern Pacific really strong as a staging point for later game.

Allies were in control of China and Burma with a good grip by 4/42 but due to balance issues with the mod we made a deal with Andy Mac. I wont go into details much ; we gave up China and Burma without a fight and ceasefire untill February 43 at Burma front + a few million supplies as compensation to nerf G8N1 (It had better stats than B-29 in 4/42)

Some carrier clashes and invasion of SRA later , Andy Mac pulled a surprise Australia invasion in 6/42. As i was focused on holding South Pacific , Australia was mostly empty. So i pulled everything back to Sydney to gain some time , meanwhile brought over 7 US Divisions and they managed stop IJA at outskirts of Sydney. From there its been a grind to kick IJA out of Australia , progress is slow but steady.

Victory Points;

Total Air Losses;

Top aces and pilot losses;

Highest point naval losses ;
Allies;

IJN;

Tracker Naval Summary;

This has been a wild game , IJN is still massive , Andy Macs second research iniative about give fruits. First one gave him A6M8 , late Ki-44 and 43 models and G8N1 at 4/42 Air War has been hell for a few months. Second Wave will give him N1K and Ki-84 series , i am prepared to lose air superiority for a few months again.
In February as India/Burma ceasefire ends its gonna turn even wilder , a massive Chinese army supported by Commonwealth troops is ready to take back what was once theirs. Both sides have thousands of planes ready to rip each other apart.
And then there is Pearl Harbor , a massive thorn on my side. Andy Mac is regularly launching deep raids into Southern Pacific Convoy lines , keeping me very paranoid.

I got around 3000 planes at Sydney so at all times i am holding a very strong surface task force and a lot of submarines to prevent any naval bombardements.
We had similiar situations happen at Noumea and Soerebaja where we lost hundreds of aircraft on the ground , trying to prevent that ever happening

Carrier Power in Focus Pacific;
IJN gets total of 29 CV + 18 CVL + 21 CVE 's in this mod , tracker claims Allies sank 5 CV + 4 CVL + 6 CVE , that brings IJN strength down to 24 CV + 14 CVL + 15 CVE in this game. The fact that IJ player can speed up carriers mean a lot of these ships are either already built or they are about to be in the next few months.

Allies get total of 49 CV + 47 CVL + 105 CVE 's in this mod. We currently have 13 CV + 12 CVL + 9 CVE ; in theory IJN outnumbers Allies almost 2 to 1 with the carrier strength. IJN also has the technology advantage at the moment with A6M8 + D4Y1 i would imagine later D4Y models and B6 series torpedo bombers are not far away.

Surface fleet strength
IJN gets total of 20 BB + 10 BC + 2 CB + 53 CA for capital ships , allies sank 8 BB + 3 BC + 17 CA so far that brings total down to 12 BB + 7 BC + 2 CB + 36 CA

Allies get total of 59 BB/BC + 72 CA/CB for capital ships , IJN sank 15 BB/BC + 5 CA so far that brings total down to 44 BB/BC + 67 CA/CB. We have 21 BB/BC and 34 CA active at the moment. Although numbers seem to be on our side for Battleships 10 of the BB's are WW1 Dreadnaughts while IJN BB's are more on the modern side.

I will make a seperate IJ side tracker from day 1 to check the other ship numbers , i'll be back

Armored spearhead managed to cut off 40k troops. IJA seems to be mostly evacuating Australia , Andy Mac gave up really good defensive terrain without a fight , troop number at Townsville is reducing everyday. Shame i couldnt pull off an encirclement of the 100k strong army that came to Sydney. Right now both sides have an impressive heavy bomber force , anything goes into clear terrain without a lot of AA gets absolutely destroyed. I didnt want to blunt my tank force by trying to encircle , so tanks had to stick around with AA and infantry

then one last thing any house rules on unit's from Manchuria since in the mod I believe japan start with an extra 38 div's if there allowed to move they could all be in Burma waiting for you to move into there or if not he most likley has bought out most of them unless did you guys nerf PP across the board since you gained like 100 per day or something crazy like that?

We had a weird rule , Japan can only pull out 2k AV per month from Manchuria. At this points its likely empty other than 8k garrison to not activate Soviets. 25k+ Strong Chinese army is ready to take back Burma but its gonna be mostly question of Air Superiority. If Andy gets N1K series and Ki-84's in the next month gaining air superiority will be tricky untill P-47's arrive other than that this army should roll over Burma if we can keep them supplied

well how much supplies do you have for operation in Burma could it support that large of an army for long and unless chinese troops were buffed won't it be hard to face off against almost equal enemy in 2x to 3x terrain??

Got 2m supply in India , should be enough for at least 3 months of heavy combat and constant supply convoys are coming in nonstop. Chinese army is supported by Commonwealth troops , 2 US Armor divisions just arrived and there is about 2-3 tank divisions more armor in India. Burma should be manageable but getting into China will be really hard

ya any planned invasions of Burma like Pegu or Moulmein to cut of Reinforcement or just Forcing your way across the mountains?
cause invading Moulmein with the commonwealth and American tanks Spreading through there fast and trying to cut of the retreat to china could be possible but unlikely but just invading those port could proof significant enough to delay reinforcements from Thailand and Malaya.
Also what ships are supporting you if any what know Japanese ships are in the area if any?

With Japanese combined fleet being pottentially twice the size of Allied carrier force no amphibious operations planned untill August but by August we will have ;

Also we will have F6F Hellcat , SBD-5 and SB2C dive bombers on carriers instead of F4F Wildcats and SBD-3's.

I forgot to give orders to a tanker convoy leaving Perth for Capetown. It was too late when i noticed it :(
Last months Allied ship casualties

Other than the raid , game has slowed down a bit but it will get crazy in 10 turns when Burma front ceasefire ends

We have been hitting the oil fields at Magwe for a few days , resistance was minimal and Allied bombers destroyed most of the oil with massed day bombings.

But today Andy has had enough and put up a cap near 700 strong

Normally i stop offensive operations every few turns to not get cap trapped but it seems Andy Mac caught me this time

Poor Chinese DB-3's took the brunt of enemy cap but at least they were a good bullet sponge , weakened enemy cap significantly , which led to later sweeps mopping the floor with Japanese

Last turn recon over Port Moresby found 200 Fighters , 200 bombers at the airfield so i tought ; I have more heavy bombers than he has fighters lets not waste time and go in before fighters are in position
Australia airforce has been pretty dormant in the last month as Japanese are fully evacuating so we caught Japanese by surprise.

Combined Allied Carrier force left Los Angeles for Pearl Harbor a week ago.
While approaching to Pearl harbor Death Star got spotted at 34 hexes from Pearl , almost made my cancel the strikes but lack of reaction from Andy Mac made me think maybe he isnt paying too much attention so i carried on , at 22 hexes Allied task forces swapped over to full speed and closed into 7 hexes from Pearl Harbor. Results are mixed , we got some ships but airwings took pretty heavy beating too.

I also got a large invasion force following behind by a day coming for Lahaina , weakest link in the Hawaii chain after Niihau Atoll but Lahaina can be built up to level 9 airfield. I am not sure if i should carry on with the invasion after carrier wings took pretty heavy losses
