I like Sonia's, but they do go down easily.

Nadi falls...

Suva will be next.

Quite the concentration of IJN forces.

20 torpedoes in 5 distinct encounters with Haruna since yesterday...several hits, but no explosion.

Lost a submarine off Australia, hit a mine and then savagely attacked.

You only need to be lucky once. It must have been stressful for NJP.

Our cap traps worked ok...unfortunately most were at long range so damage done wasn't great.

IJN destroyers raided Chittagong, missed the mines, and sank a MTB.

Poor Seawolf hit a mine, which I kind of new were going to show up at Townsville, and then was sunk by aggressive destroyers on ASW duty.

The first cargo ships and tankers arrive from Bombay, feeding Mombassa.

One route I am currently pondering, and will send at least one large tanker to is England. Seems to be about 152 hexes one way but doesn't generate enough fuel for a big fuel convoy system, but plentiful supplies.

I am currently setting up fuel from Abadan to Socrata to Mombassa to Cape Town. Cape Town to southern Australia ports.

England to Cape Town for Supplies primarily and some fuel.

On the opposite side, Balboa to Port Stanley...Port Stanley to New Zealand via the southern islands. NZ to Tasmania.

Balboa will be fed from Eastern US and San Diego once our ASW is up to snuff.

These aren't optimized routes for distance, but rather for safety. I believe I have the time given logistics on hand and what will be arriving.

Perth/Darwin/Brisbane, Noumea, Fiji + Tahiti and Alaska....a solid route to auto victory.

I have neglected Alaska till recently, but I have been building up Prince Rupert and defending the West Coast. Time to move forward and secure Alaska, Line Islands, and Tahiti.

A construction company will land in Seward in a day or two, and our CS convoys are set up for Alaska.

You can safely wait until the end of the cold season methinks, March that is. Construction is x4 slower currently.

Japan also tends to wait for spring to move here, so you have some space for them to cover until they reach Alaska

I don't know...Japan likes the forward invasion...I was thinking he would hit deep here in the final stages of the Amphibious bonus phase...

He does need China...and also still has to take Luzon and Singers and Miri and Balikpapen.

Dewey...

Marblehead decided to leave Luzon, after several failures at intercepting, the IJN started to heavily escort their fleets, and her torpedoes are less than reliable...off to Seattle.

Two cargo ships are trying to figure out their way to Luzon...volunteer crews. They must have family there.

I don't mean not shipping anything here, just keep construction units doing productive work elsewhere for a couple weeks more. Combat units are welcome! :)

I'd say that a number of setbacks with aggressive early expansion should have curbed your opponent's enthusiasm, but you never know.

I think Canada is a little closer to England. It does not accumulate supplies and fuel much until you start to load ships from there. Then the US supplies and fuel flow readily to Canada to feed the ships.

I can use that I guess...although I was thinking England to Cristobel. Panama Canal looks to be very busy this game.

I like Port Stanley to Cape Town at c90+ hexes too. Although Cristobel to Cape Town seems better.

Turn is finished, rejiggered out sub patrols to avoid freshly laid minefields, continued or CAP trap exercise...

All troops will evacuate Perth region except static forces today before the rail line gets cut by roving armored units. I fear my lack of recon will allow the IJA tankers to cut the rail line unexpectedly.

Flying out what troops I can from Fiji.

The East Coast of the US is the closest port and thus will be quicker. You can always draw/pull more supply there if needed. Just have lots of smaller convoys so it is busy every day.

This is the point when one marvels at how IJA tankers are so much different compared to IJN tankers

Yes, they are built to stop trains running into their side!

If memory serves, Eastern Canada is 19 hexes closer to UK, 13 hexes closer to Aden and 8 hexes closer to Cape Town, compared to Eastern USA.

The Air War so far...sorted by total losses.

Look at the Bab losses to flak!

Japanese bomber forces are being hit hard...those great starting pilots I think must be severely attrited.

Scenario 2, so Japan basically has unlimited planes, but not pilots.

The defense of Maryborough...

it will be close. Allies have a significant advantage in guns...but our troops are still rookies, and the squads poorly equipped.

193rd Tank is recovering disabled tanks at Brisbane, 34th US Regiment is resting in Sydney.

IJN showing two Battleships and two destroyers at Rockhampton.

Is the base at Maryborough damaged? Do you suppose it might make fortifications 3 before the battleships commence nightly runs?
