Anyone play this game?
It looks extremely interesting and innovative and it's cheap as dirt.

Is a good game about Operation Barbarossa.
You can play all Barbarossa giving orders to army groups, corps and some historical division in each front (North, Centre and South). It is strategic, not operational: no hexagons, no moves, only giving orders to units each turn awaiting a good result in the next one. There is a list of possible orders, but not all can be used at all times, because your armies (mainly the germans) need time for resting, reinforcements and/or ammo. The Germans must advance on the map, overcoming "fronts" and conquer all before they suffer shortage. The Russians must throw armies and tanks in the gaps, stopping the germans in the "fronts" for fighting back in winter. The game ends in march 1942.

There are many events, even holocaust ones, that you must manage as high commander. If you are german and your level of "barbarism" increases then the russian armies increases their desire to fight and don´t surrender, the partisans become a plague... and so.

The game will have a update soon (a new map & more orders) and the developer is making a second part: Stalingrad.

Hello AndyS! I am a long-time wargamer. Played the game for about six hours, and that's what it's worth, imo. Very limited as it only goes until 12/41, I believe. Replayability is sort of zero.

Not a bad investment for the price, but Steam has a lot of games with huge content on sale (not necessarily wargames, unfortunately). Let us know what you think.
