Hi, we're playing 4.2.1.2

We encountered an issue where removal of a cp in CSV caused the game to crash (infinite loop?) at the end of the impulse.

I tested a few variants to see what the problem was, and indications are that the hang at end of impulse is triggered by there being no CP in CSV.

We've already seen some strange supply problems in the area.

In this game, France surrendered, and set up new Home country in Senegal. Spain is aligned with CW, is incompletely conquered, and set up new home country in Spanish Marocco. There are are French, Spanish and british units in Spanish Marocco and Marocco, including Franco HQ. Franco wasn't in supply some occations when he should have been.

Here is a more direct comparison, saved just before crash (non-crash in this save). Same as crash-svae, only difference is the cp in CSV.

I can't reproduce this bug. The game doesn't stall or crash on my machine. I don't know what is going wrong on your end, I'm afraid.

Did you keep the crash report that MWiF produces? It's in the email that will send the bug report if you allow. If so, take a look and see if it was an out of memory crash.

Because of your abbreviations, I do not understand your first sentence. Cp can have several meanings. So can CSV.

I understand his issue being about the removal of a CONV marker in the Cape St. Vincent sea area.

I am playing this game and I don't know what has happened. The original problem was when the CP in Cape Saint Vincent was sent to port the game hung. Now it doesn't hang with the same save. So there doesn't appear to be an issue anymore.

I tried to submit bug report mail, but it's to large for gmail to want to send it.

If there is a way I can save and upload the bug report I can do that.
For now, here is a screen of the call stack, should help you figure out what code crashes.

The bug report is from a little later, when trying to rail a German HQA in Spain.
Again, the problem is likely triggered by there being no convoy point in Cape St. Vincent, combined with the complex supply situation in Marocco/Spanish Marocco

Here is the save that goes with the bug report/new variant. Rail move one of the HQA's in Spain/Portugal to trigger bug.

Found the bug report in the games folder. If you tell me an email address I can send it without using the broken in-game email sender.

I suggest you use the email button for Shannon from post #7 and include a link to this thread.

So this is an issue even with the last hot patch 4.2.2

If there is no trans or CP to provide supply in the Cape Saint Vincent sea zone the game crashes to desktop after a short pause when you attempt to rail a HQ unit from either side. In the save attached if you advance to the rail phase and attempt to rail a USSR from Manchuria the game will crash. If however you leave and/or edit a CP to the Cape Saint Vincent sea zone the game does not crash. Might have something to do with France and Spain. Spain home country is Spanish Morocco and French home country is Senegal and they are not cooperating with CW as they surrendered.

This is still an issue. If supply is taken away from Cape Saint Vincent(CSV) by removing a CP or transport the game crashes at the next supply calculation stage. Spanish Morocco is Spain new home country. France surrendered and control Morocco with their home country Senegal. Even the Franco HQ fails to draw supply from Tangiers.

We are working around it at the moment by editing a CP or transport to the 0 box of CSV to get thru stages of the game that cause the crash. If there is no CP or trans in CSV even moving a HQ in china will crash game.
