I thought the blurb said it should be no biggie. Maybe I was wrong. If so - damn!!

It is a biggie. The Russians get a significant mobilization boost which means a lot more MPP for research in order to prepare for Barbarossa.

Things went slightly better in the south but even that success was tempered by a Chinese corps that retreated rather than be destroyed, and 21st Army was unable to occupy Kweilin.

The pressure eases slightly - if only temporarily - as the Chinese 5th Army is cut off south of Peking. However, this has drawn troops from Itagachi's army corps and this army group looks very weak now. Umezu makes an immediate impression and destroys a Chinese corps in the centre.

But the Germans destroy a British corps and the second one is unlikely to escape.

Until my reinforcements arrive I can do little in China. Once again a Chinese unit retreats rather than get destroyed...

In France its a case of finishing off the British aircraft and infantry corps and then moving east.

In East Africa I continue to pound away at the South Africans, but the longer this goes on, the more chance that the British will reinforce their positions...

At roughly the same stage in the game the losses for the British are 3 units a piece. I lost an army but also an AA and light cruiser. My opponent lost 2 corps and a tactical bomber.

For the Japanese/Chinese its close too. My opponent has no losses as the Japanese, while I have lost 2 garrisons. As Chinese I lost 6 corps and 2 armies (plus 1 partisan) = 9. My opponent lost 7 corps and 4 armies = 11.

My opponent lost a DD and a garrison as Italy whereas I've lost nothing.

The biggest difference is in Germany where I've lost nothing yet. My opponent lost a corps, 2 paratroopers, a tank, 2 heavy cruisers and 2 subs = 8.

So at this stage of the game - and bearing in mind I was trounced in the first games against AllenK - its looking not too bad.

The biggest difference is in the Germans have just

Losses for the British at this stage of the war.

At this stage my opponent had 1593 of income and lost 88
My opponents income was 1176 and had lost 215

There is a slight variation in turn and this probably accounts for the reduction in income and so its pleasing to see my raiders so active.

Mmmm... although I've lost Japanese units (2 garrison), I suspect these numbers confirm I've also lost more points and have been less economical...

Shame I can't get this more accurate. The one turn difference may mean a lot here. But once again my losses as the Allied player would appear higher generally so if its not units then its point of loss being taken.

Well I think the less said about that turn the better....

The Germans continue to move east, while in China I try and reinforce the area around Peking.

In East Africa, sure enough a reinforcement has arrived for the South Africans. Damn.

The British and Greeks didn't react... okay.

Not much happened in that turn. I continue to move forces east and upgrade and reinforce. The Japanese meanwhile Make no headway. In the north I finish upgrading my units before the (hopefully successful) attack west of Peking.
