Status: offline 		I noticed that the DF-26 anti-ship missile can't be shot down any more. I built a test ship with an assortment
of weapons and none of them work on it any more. It says "the target altitude envelope does not match any point
in the target's estimated trajectory." They used to be shot down with lasers but even that does not work any more.
Any ideas?

Status: offline 		Looks if you add the General mount 870 Laser gun (BMD) it'll work. Per the manual firing dialog it looks like with the lasers you added there is some sort of discrimination between the types of targets it can hit which seems like a good way to sort some of this.

DF-26 is a tough nut to crack but that might be a feature.

See my test file.

SM-3IIA, GBD and THAADs capable against it but SM-3 Block 1A and 1B are no go (Out of DLZ initially then later too late to launch). Patriots won't fire due to DF-26 warhead speed being faster than what it is capable of. I'll leave it to the devs to judge.

Not sure the Odins etc. were designed for that. UAV's and slower targets correct? Pretty sure HELCAP is the system that's going to be the CIWS type.

the same error.

Status: offline 		A ballistic missile is hardened to survive reentry, and there is no fuel left just a warhead. I don't think it's realistic that these lasers would do anything to it.

Even with high power (more than 150kw) it wouldn't be able to focus on the target properly. Even if it could atmospheric conditions would attenuate the beam.

In reality the American counter to these missiles is to disrupt the kill-chain - not to shoot the missile down. If the missile is already incoming it's too late.

Let it run until the target came into range. The manual firing allocation does tell you what's wrong. Note..slider does work. You can see it all.

Just checked the posted change logs and didn't see anything explicit. It does look like the laser explicitly marked ABM works fine. I'd add laser in the meantime until the devs work out the rest.

Status: offline 		I reported a similar issue with the DF-21. With version 1147.16, everything worked fine. With the latest, version 1147.17, it won't fire and everything was subsequently sunk. I switched back to 1147.16 for now. Try that.
