Hello

can someone explain it to me clearly?

Global Variables determine whether something can happen at all during a game.

This is because they are set at game start, and if the number generated is within the range used in a script then that script can fire during the game. If the number generated is not within that range, then that script will not fire during the game, no matter what happens.

Triggers are different because they can always happen in a game, providing of course that their conditions are met.

Ok thanks
So I can have a gv10 for example and a trigger 50...
10% event can fire during the game and 50% event can fire if conditions are met.
50% from 10%, it's correct.?

another question,
what do the values from 1 to 10 of the GV correspond to?
are these configurable values?

This just means that the game has up to 10 different Global variables to choose from. It gives you some flexibility to tie a group of related events to certain Global variables and so on. Or just for variety so that you can have some events tied to one Global variable and others to another Global variable.

This way if GV1 is satisfied in your scripts it won't mean all events then fire once GV1 is satisfied.

You can have other events tied to GV2 and so on.

If you use the F2 key at the start of a game against the AI, a set of log files is created in your user folder and it will show you which GV are set to what and this way you can see how events will fire as you are testing.

This particular one would be listed in the planning.log file near the top after the planning definitions are listed.

The log folder would typically be found here:

\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War
