Gentlemen,

I have sent the file just before EoT roll, as we believe Orm is going to handle the end of turn.

If you wanted me to continue to to Soviet Pact markers I can do that also (unless an Allied Partisan is rolled)

Just before the EoT roll is good. Thank you.

I will roll for partisans shortly.

No partisans. Garrison strength was checked in Malaysia, Burma, and India.

I do not think that there will be any US entry stuff that will affect the Axis end of turn. So perhaps you can post your end of turn orders at your convenience?

Certainly will

Did we want to update to the latest Hot patch?

It does partially fix CBV issues

We can try it. And be prepared to move back to earlier version if we encounter some new, annoying, error thingie?

In addition to above builds Axis would also build all available CVB units.

This is pending a resolution of the current issue, wether we have a fix or turn this optional off all together.

Also the Axis would prefer to have the file to place their own reinforcements.

We can not turn off this option (force pool options can not be changed after the game has begun. We can either ignore the CBV units and play as the option is not in play. thus never build any of them. Or we can perhaps ask for help to edit the game so that the faulty units are moved to the right place.

Also the Axis would prefer to have the file to place their own reinforcements.

In ages past there were some bugs that could appear when reloading end of turn saves. Therefore I preferred to do the entire end of turn In one go. The most of them might have been solved. But I think I recall seeing a bug recently that made me suspicious that it could have been such a EoT bug.

And it might go faster with one person doing it all instead of mailing saves?

With that said we are going to proceed as you prefer.

Although, does it make any difference this EoT since Axis places their reinforcements first?

Since we selected CBV in our options I would vote they are left in, and if possible get the missing ones edited in.

I am not aware of any EoT bugs after production, but happy to limit the file passing for a few turns while the new hot patch is put through live testing.

Reinforcements
Italy;
Assign Pilot to CR.42 4 Ftr

Roma Mot place in Turin
CR.42 place in Rome

No remove air

Japan;
Terr place in Tsitsihar
Nanking CBV in Nanking

No remove air

German Reinforcements placement will depend on the outcome of CBV

My vote would be see if anyone is confident in editing in the missing units, maybe at Breakdown phase so they can be built, without damaging the file. If not turn the optional off.

I setup a new game using 4.0.2.2 with CBV option and can confirm the 2 missing German units are in the force pool available to be built.
5 French CBV are in the pool
1 Japanese unit

Assume that the CBV are in play. Either there will be some editing. Or I will restart the game with the latest version, and then recreate the game.

Working from there German Reinforcements will be:

Pil to 4 Factor FTR2, place in Magdeburg
SS INF to Cologne
AT to Aachen
ARM DIV to Vienna
CBV to respective Cities

Ok I did a German production test building all 3 CBV, and when I selected them to build they remained in the pool, but after completing production for Germany and moving onto Italy, I looked in the reinforcement spiral and the units are there

The French CBV built also was able to be placed correctly.

Only problem is after reinforcement stage the built units remain in the Force Pool

But I am sure we can overcome this before we reach our next EoT.

So I will email this game file

Yes. This seems to have improved the situation with the German CBV. Previously they were also located both in the Force pool and the Future Force pool. This is no longer the case.

However, by being kind to France and moving their future force pool CBV to the force pool a new issue might have been created. Some of the French CBV should not be available yet. They should be in the future pool. I've tried to find out which of the French CBV should be available from the start, and which should be available only to Free France. I have not yet gotten a clear cut answer on this. So I think we have to assume that MWIF got it right for France. And that the three CBV in the Future Force Pool belongs in the future and to free France.

Any chance with a new edit, preferably from an unedited game, that only moves the German CBV? Or were there any other CBV moved as well?

I assume that the French CBV already in the force pool worked as they should.
