Good morning, I am new to this game that I am trying to master. thankYou for the help.

I have only done tutorial missions. The game is updated and bought via steam. I have seen strange behavior of enemy forces. Mainly in 2.4 submarine tutorial and 1.5 surface tutorial, seems that enemy forces not use their strenght. In 2.4 for example I passed with my los angeles very near (yes at 5 knots, and deep) russian vessels, that I can classify and follow and attack, and destroy, with no, at all, answer. No torpedo for me in the water. Also in 1.5 I was able to destroy a submarine with my boat torpedo, with no torpedo for me.
Is due to the tutorial ? Are enemy forces restricted to not attack at full of their sensors or torpedoes?
There is a difficult level to set ?
The game is so permissive ?
ThankYou!
Marco, ITALY

Marco,

Welcome!

In your first, you say you followed and were close - IF you were passing/following behind the Russia ships, detection to the rear is a weak spot for both submarines and surface ships. If you attacked from behind, there's at least some chance they may not hear you or even hear the attacking torpedo. If that's the case, then you did a fine job on the scenario !

For 1.5, I don't know the answer and would need more details.

I have played all the tutorials, some multiple times, and as far as I know they all play fair. It's been a while, but I don't remember any restrictions in them on your enemy.

One thing you can do to help when asking questions like this is provide a save game file and you'll probably get several people to open it up and look at it. With such a complex game there are many factors that could affect things. Since you are new I think you won't be able to post attachments right away, being a new member, but if you want to message me saved files if you have them, I'd be happy to take a look and see if I notice anything.

ThankYou very much for the kind answer! I will re-play the tutorial, maybe was only luck! The important is that there is not a level of difficulty to set, and, even more important, that the CPU use fully like an uman the data of the sensors to attack the player.. In that 1.5 I was able, due to the lack of an helicopter, to sink a nuclear submarine with only detection from a frigate and by it' s own torpedo. I belive (but maybe is not true) that a boat should suffer against a sub, in only sonar and torpedo engagement. Maybe if I will see a similar issue, also to learn something, I will be happy to share the saved game! In a saved game is possibile to see all the past moves?
thankYou again!!

No, it's not, so make saves as you go, and if you see something that doesn't make sense, send the save that is before that point and let us know what we need to do to recreate what it was that you saw or didn't understand.
