Status: offline 		Hi there, could you please clarify how diplomacy works with other factions?
I mean, is there a way to contact other leaders directly, have peace or non-aggression, trade treaties and so on?
Or, the player can interact with other factions only while at war or by offering protection to minors?

Status: offline 		Yeah, plenty of stuff to do diplomatically, (mostly via stratagems), in fact there's a whole Foreign Affairs Council that you can create which allows for advanced diplomacy !
