A round explodes prematurely. That would be an ammunition manufacturing problem, not really a F-35 problem.

To keep the count low, I will also use this same post to point out that many aircraft have shot themselves up and sometimes down while strafing at altitudes and angles that allowed ricochets to reach them on the egress.
