More zoom-in levels - 3/26/2021 4:29:02 PM

Hi everyone.

The game runs great on my system but I miss at least on more zoom in level.

Is there any way to get a similar result, for instance, by manually setting a lower resolution for full-screen mode?

At the moment, I can only get the desired effect by modifying system-wide settings like changing scale to 125% or 150%, something I’d rather not do.

Currently running the game in a 5120x1440 resolution @ 100% scale.

Any help appreciated

Unfortunately it would be way too big undertaking to introduce another zoom level.

However we are planning to review high DPI handling, so it might solve current high DPI appearance issues.

Thank you, Pavel.

Setting a custom resolution within the game has been completely ruled out too?

Game theoretically should run on any king of resolutions - as much as you can maximize your window. But apparently some resolutions together with DPI settings can cause issues. Hopefully we could deal with them soon.

For what it's worth, I have the same eyesight problem. So my system runs at 3840x2160 and I set the display scale to 250%. Using the suggested settings in the "If the game crashes on launch PLEASE READ THIS" forum, the game seems to run fine; though I am only on turn 2!

So my system is not as good as yours but it would be interesting to see if you can use their settings and at least scale the display.

Good luck!

We're working on improving the support for extremely high resolutions with DPI scaling. This may take some time, but it's our top priority given the number of customers who seem to have these configurations.

That’s encouraging. Thank you, Erik.

This game is really mind-blowing. It deserves a display that lives up to its inner quality.

Please give this new 4k/DPI Hotfix a try:

You can also try Zoomit, info here:

For the record. Zoomit is FANTASTIC. Much better than the hotfix.

Zoomit has the perfect zoom level that the game needs. You really cannot get the game to have that level of zoom built into the game? Seems really odd that a third party app can fix an issue the game really needs.

I'm running on 3440x1440 and one more zoom level or a larger display of units and hexes in the highest zoom level would be really nice.

Have you tried the DPI hotfix and Zoomit?
