I have Command: Chains of War and the base C:MO game. When I bought the Silent Service DLC, it was attached to the CMO base game and not to Chains of War, which has a separate icon on my desktop and which opens up an interface that I find preferable to the base version. But in Chains of War, the Silent Service scenarios, while listed, can't be opened. Is there any way to shift the registration of my Silent Service DLC to the other game?

I think I might understand what is going on here...back in the CMANO days, the expansions were sold as standalone scenario packs that could either be integrated into the base game or bought differently. AFAIK, this has been discontinued for Command: Modern Operations, and now all the expansions are only sold as DLC and have no standalone capability. I assume when you say "an interface that I find preferable," you are referring to the UI of CMANO. Since the expansions are only sold for CMO now (indeed, I don't believe CMANO is even sold anymore; at least it didn't show up when I searched Steam), I don't know if any new expansion purchases would even work with CMANO (since CMO versions of scenarios don't work with CMANO); they certainly won't work with the CMANO-era standalone versions of the DLCs, which by design never had the capability to play scenarios besides those included in the expansion.

Someone liking the old UI more, that's a first

stww2 is right in that the old CMANO is no longer for sale, nor any standalone DLCs for it.

The good news is you can use your Chains of War DLC with the newer CMO engine - though that's with the new interface obviously

If you have both installed CMO may have recognised it already - to check, run CMO and see if Chains of War is available in the Campaign Menu. If it's not there it needs to be registered, and that'll depend on whether you're running it through Steam or native. Post back if that's the case.

While it is true that CMANO is no longer available for sale, the 5 DLC's are still available as standalone programs.

A search doesn't bring up the standalones on the Matrix store or Steam, only the addon DLCs. Where are you finding them?

On the main page for CMO, that's where they are listed. The links are below.

Command: Northern Inferno

Command: Chains of War

Command: Shifting Sands

Command: The Silent Service

Command: Desert Storm

When you buy it the installer for standalone play should be able to be accessed through your Matrix account, I don't know about Steam because I don't play through that. The standalone version will use the CMANO engine.

Just for clarification, if you are still playing CMANO (base game) you can still buy the 5 big DLC's and the Command Live scenarios up to King Of The Border for use with that program.

Good find! The standalone nature is not even mentioned in the blurb on the product page.

And if, like me, you subsequently buy the C:MO version, the DLC's you've bought before do work with the new edition. Now I just have to get used to the new UI.
