Greetings,

I experience following, for me strange, problem:
I can start the game normally and it will also launch but it take several minutes to load into the main-menu. Once in the main-menu, the mouse movement that highlights the buttons is delayed as is the highlighting. Loading campaigns/ scenarios agains takes several minutes and the stuttering continues well into the game making it literally unbearable to play (I'm talking here about several seconds delay before a single action is done).
Now the strange part: As soon as I hit the Windows-Key and the Game seemingly is executed in the background (the game remains visible just the task-bar and menu pops up in front) the game suddenly runs fast and smoothly. As soon as I jump back into the game, the stuttering begins again.

What I have done so far (nothing has helped so far):
1. Reinstall as administrator
2. The DPI-Solution posted here
3. Closed all Overlay Software before running the game, including Steam
4. Try to run it in compatibility mode with Win7.
5. Restarting the PC

You'll find the DxDiag attached.

€: I have no clue what happened. I restarted with a clean restart with the settings via msconfig. The game then runs smoothly. Since I didn't have sound then (due to using a JBL system via USB that needs a special software), I restarted the PC then normally and tried again to see if I can recreate the problem.
Funnily, the problem didn't came up again since then.
I keep you updated once I can recreate the problem.
So far I think either the JBL-Software in the background OR the Logitech Software for Mouse and Keyboard seems to sometimes interfere with the game but I can't confirm this yet.

Thanks for the report. I have Logitech mouse/keyboard software and it doesn't cause any issues for me.

Sound software indeed can interfere - ex. https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4988384

Hopefully it will be possible to find generic solution to protect game from such interference.

Please give this new 4k/DPI Hotfix a try:
