When assigning a support unit to a city/corps/combat unit it would be nice to be able to examine the TOE of the unit before choosing it. Is there a way to do this currently? If not, I would request that it be added.

If you are looking for the TOE% that is there already I believe? It's the number to the left of each SU on the assignment screen. If you are talking about the TOEs in terms of what elements are in the SUs then my 2c would be that this is pretty self explanatory for most of the SU types. From an Axis perspective at least I've only had to do a couple of notes to myself to remind me what is in the different Artillery/AA SUs as they are a bit more variable.

It not as self explanatory to me, apparently. Anyway, my request stands: I would like to examine the TOE of support units before selecting them.

I can absolutely see why.

You want to assign the best trained units, and leave the others to train in the reserve. Its a pain to memorize which ones

I think you can transfer them to the TB hex designated on the map from the CR though. Not sure what would happen with an off map unit designated this way...

Hmm. You bring up something I had not thought about. I was primarily thinking about what kind of equipment the SU might have. But you bring up the issue of moral, experience, etc. So I will amend my request: instead of providing an option to view the TOE, I would like an option to bring up a unit window to examine before picking the unit. In the case of Soviet SU's, there might be a mix of newer and more experienced units that you might wish to pick between. (Not sure where new SU's show up yet, haven't got that far in the manual. In WitE 1 I would create new SU's at Stavka and let them train up a bit before assigning them.)

my thinking was that he wanted for example to see the eqp in flak units or the various SPG units to determine their tank killing potential

You can examine their TO&Es in the HQ they are currently assigned to. I always do this when seeing a new SU for the first time, then over time you learn what they are and stop having to check. That way you know which Flak units have the 88s, the difference between a StuG Battalion and a StuG Battery, etc.

With that said, an additional preview might be technically possible within the SU picking screen, as a feature request for the future.
