I’ve had similar issues as described in this thread, the most disturbing was that after an un-install, the font on my browser was different (smaller) and I couldn’t seem to change it via the browser. The file name “menu1.ttf”” was substituted for the normal Arial font file in the Windows font folder and was linked to the Korsun/GMDATA folder, but it didn’t exist since I’d deleted it. I copied the “menu1.ttf” file from the Korsun CD and after a slightly confusing program request to first delete the empty file reference, I now have an operational Arial font and the browser is back to normal. Next…

Korsun did run, but initially it was causing an Explorer page fault when exiting. As mentioned above, after closing the error dialogue, each time I hit the Start button it re-appeared, but after a hard re-boot, everything seemed fine. The Explorer error always occurred when using the “Exit” key on the Korsun Menu, but not necessarily when using the “X” shut down control.

After installing and looking at the Wiking Whiteout scenario, (no necessary relation, it just happened afterwards) I got a CDT when trying to move units in Tutorial 6. So I did an un-install, but the Korsun.exe must have been running since I couldn’t empty the Recyle bin with the balance of the directory structure left after the un-install until I re-booted. The Korsun & Matrix folders are still visible in Regedit, but that’s enough for a Saturday morning.

So here I am with Win98 4.101, P3, 128MB RAM, DX 8 (4.08), 3dfx Voodoo 3 v4.1701.1213 and no game. Help

Cheers,
Jim M
