Heck, forget about mice or men.

Sailor Moon can beat Superman. She saved the entire Galaxy once, and with just the power of a pure heart.

I think that Doctor Strange can beat Superman.

I don't have many references because I never liked Superman (even if I liked the two first movies by Richard Donner and, even if not exactly "liked", I think that "Man of Steel" was better than the critics and the public allowed).

No one can beat Wily E. Coyote. It may seem a paradox, but nothing ever killed the coyote.

He finally did get the Roadrunner but it ruined him. But he bounced back.

Well, Mr Coyote may very well be immune to lethal damage, but he can also never win.

The important teaching for the children is that he also never quits.

The same is true for Rocky, BTW.

Nope, never. No such trophies.

Cartoons are dangerous for children and should be banned.

Some kids actually think they can fly.
Some kids think if they smash the dog with a bat it won't end badly.
Then there are bombs.
No, you don't get 3 seconds to unfall off a cliff.
Animals actually don't act like people.
In the real world, death actually happens.

There is no graphic sex and graphic violence on tv in the evenings either. Ever. So the kids are safe. Until you turn the tv on.

Heck the evening news is more violent than cartoons ever were. "The scenes you are about to see are disturbing so turn off the tv if you think it may bother you". So, like a good midwestern citizen in tornado alley during a tornado warning, you do what you're supposed to do, you go look.

Nah, that wasn't so bad. Last night they showed some dismembered bodies.

According to Tom Clancy, the news give this warning so to give you time to finish what you are doing and sit down comfortably.

One scene that made me laugh hard was in "Executive Orders", when a botched attempt to kidnap Jack Ryan's daughter resulted in a deadly shootout:

"Some reports talked about it in Western terms. “Gun-fight at the Kiddy Corral” some local TV reporter had tried out, winning the low-taste award for last night, and earning his station a few hundred negative calls, confirming to the station manager that his outlet had a solid nighttime viewership."

Awesome! If I ever buy an American novel again, RFalvo69 has convinced me to go for Clancy over Ringo.

Whew, just saw this movie...there were three other people in the IMAX theater, LOL.

While I avoided falling asleep, I was glad when it ended...the movie was very formulaic and full of silly plot points...FX were pretty cool, but overall next time I'll wait for it on Netflix...

I think this was the first movie I've seen in a theater in about five years, and I'll probably wait five years or move for the next one. $22 for a "Bavarian" pretzel and a soda? Really?

I liked Godzilla in the 2014 version. It had an unexpected elegance mixed with some virtuoso sequences (the scene on the bridge at night was hitchcockian, and the HALO launch was totally breathtaking - I remember my wife grabbing my arm when they jumped).

I also liked how Godzilla was showed sparingly in the first part and slowly revealed. Alas, people didn't like this. I haven't seen the sequel, but I'm told that it is wall-to-wall monster feast. Amen to that.

Having said that, Shin Godzilla by Hideaki Anno wipes the floor with all the rest. Truly a masterpiece

I totally agree, Godzilla 2014 was a great surprise, in my opinion one of the best kaiju film ever, it was very well directed by Gareth Edwards (who would have proven his great ability later with SW : Rogue One ). On the other hand the follow up Godzilla: King of monsters , which had great potentials, was a total disappointement for me, and from what I see from the trailers this "Kong vs Godzilla" does not bode well (Godzilla smiling... c'on )

I loved monster movies growing up in the 60's and 70's and I've thoroughly enjoyed all 3 Godzilla Titanverse movies.

Are they full of plot holes? Yes.

Are they somewhat shallow and do I wish some things were different? Yes.

Am I able to suspend disbelief and enjoy them for the pure entertainment they are? Hell Yes.
