Hi all,

I bought TotH a few days ago, and as an old ASL player, I really love it.
It's really fun...
BUT
How is it intended to be played best?
If it's primary goal is to "hotseat", then I'd be better off with VASL.
If it is playing against the AI, I wonder which role is best suited for the AI?

I tried a scenario with the AI on the attack and the same scenario the AI on the defense.
I'm grinding my teeth!

-The AI sending units in a circle during a rout - back-and-forth in two hexes till all MP are used up and I have to click "AI continue" each time.
-AT guns firing at Infantry, but never at tanks
-BAZ also firing at Infantry and missing juicy tanks or vehicle targets
-US halftracks remain at the entry hex despite "defend hex - 16/15"

That is really annoying and frustrating.
I won the same scenario as German attacker with 119:51 VP and as US defender with 161:21 VP

So, how do you guys balance this?

The scenario you played is intended for teens, try a scenario for adults designed by Hailstone.

That the better the scenario is designed, the more it erases the imperfections of the game.
Note valid for all games.

You have to play over and over again to understand how AI works (the good and the bad).
This allows to create interesting scenarios for a human attacker.
The AI in attack is too bad to can balance scenarios, it is better to avoid playing the defensive side(no challenge).

i played scenarios over and over and over and i still don't understand how the AI works...its
like pondering the workings of God.

OK, I saw you give like twice the OOB to the AI (only) in your scenarios - but still I have trouble understanding the AI - just as dox44 below ;)
