ORIGINAL: Erik Rutins Hi everyone, I have a more detailed update for you all. The short version is that because of the COVID restrictions on how many people we can have in our small warehouse at a time, it's taking longer than usual to get everything shipped out. Under normal circumstances, everyone would have pitched in but that's not possible right now. We've made some changes to double the number we can send out each day, but we are still only half-way through with the first 1,000 orders and it will probably take until late next week for us to finish shipping out all of them. I apologize for the time this is taking, we're going as fast as we can. The sea shipment with the remaining manuals is due to arrive on May 17th. Given time to clear the port and get to our warehouse, given past experience that means we'll likely start shipping those out on May 24th and by that point hopefully it will only take a week or so to get through them. Regards, - Erik Not happy with the way this is going. Great game for sure the way manuals are being done is just horrible. I have to disagree. So you have the data on what the last game, WitE 1, unit of sales were and you expect to have some up tick in the number that could be sold for the new version. You also have a good idea of how many of your expected sales will have people buying the hard cover manual. Again based on the number of units sold of other games that had them, like TOAW 4, World in Flames, etc. The reason you do this is that when you order the printing of anything, you have different price points for the number of copies you want to have. So you pick a price point that meets what your expected orders that will include the manual plus a little bit more. I doubt anyone at Matrix expected the number of the people that wanted both the game AND the manual to be as high as they are. So they have done the best they could on making up the difference. As it is not possible to print and ship something like the manual as an 'on demand' process. This is why the pre-order people are getting manuals as Matrix know exactly how many people wanted them. The second set of manuals had to be ordered after the fact as the demand outstripped the supply. I do not see how this is a 'failure' by anyone. I actually think it outstanding service that they are doing everything they can to get manuals to all that want them while maintaining profitability.
