Over in the Korsun Pocket Forum, it was mentioned that SSG was working on a Barbarrossa game after the next Decisive Battles of WW2 title, which is to be Normandy. Has anyone found out any additional details even if just rumors or wild speculation. Also, I wonder if it is the full east front 1941-45, or just 1941. Lastly, for any of those who remember the 5 1/4 floppy era, does anyone remember the name of the East Front game put out by SSG? In the game you commanded Army Groups North, Center and South for the Germans and Theaters A, B and C for the Soviets? OKH and Stavka I think were computer controlled and would sometimes do interesting things like transfer a panzer army or a tank army to a different front. Real fun when you would have your friends controlling the other theaters of the same side and suddenly the high command recoginized your obviously superior leadership. It was a great game, I spent many an hour of my adolesence with my friends playing that game on the C-64. One real interesting aspect was that you could only give orders (main effort, normal, and rest) to the army/front and assign an objective, you could also give orders to the corps/armies (assualt, probe, defend, and retreat) but the actual movement would be controlled by the AI. This was probably one of my all-time favorite war games.
