I heard that John Tiller passed away a few days ago. I am to miss his touch in wargames. I have 22 of his
titles. Rest in peace.

Thanks for posting that to forum Schani59 - I'm sure many of us have a number of his titles, taking us old board wargamers into the PC.

Saw this
John Tiller passing

Has anyone played his games by e-mail? I still play his tactical level WW2 game versus computer. Although I haven't searched extensively for better, I still find his games a good challenge.

I have played the Tiller Panzer Campaign series by email = great fun. Also have a few of the tactical games. You can find email opponents for all of the Tiller games at https://www.theblitz.club if you are interested.

Schani (op) and I have been playing turns every month for probably over 10 years by PBEM - works great. John Tiller's Campaign Series (West Front/East Front)

One of my favorite games on all times - West Front. Possibly for just the music alone

I still remember getting it from Hastings in Hutchinson KS after a dentist appointment - I'd guess over 20+ years ago. Brought home Sid Meier's Gettysburg at the same time.

They just don't make games like they used to.

Talon is correct - Blitz is a good place to look at for JT games

Yes Jeff and I play and correspond frequently thanks to John Tiller's great games.

Okay Jeff I know you are busy with the kids baseball and other activities. You won 'Checkmate on Kakazu Ridge'. So your choice of scenarios you prairie baboon.

One of the greats of this game, Joe Wilkerson, designed the Budapest '45 scenario. No doubt, he is off to do other great deeds for such as us.
