Loving this game! Got really hooked.

I wanted to suggest that just like in real life, a corps commander should be a more prestigious and senior role than a regiment commander, and an army commander even more so. I recently promised a better job to a regiment commander but she was disappointed when I assigned her a new corps. Even a 5-10 prestige point range between the three should make a difference.

I would also add a small prestige bonus when they're leading an motorized/mechanized formation

In the same vein there can be a prestige bonus for governors based on the level of their city

Maybe add some prestige if the lowest quality of troop allowed is high or elite.

That settings is not a real indicator of quality. All it does is allow to manage the Models used in each formation.
Currently I use Low for Tollerated, Regular for Allowed. But it would be trivial to change using High for tolelrated, Elite for allowed instead - so that would just be free prestige.

We would need something else to indicate "exceptional quality". Maybe a bonus prestige for each unit with Jetpacks and similar GR era technology? It hasto be stuff you are not just going to give everyone (so no laser rifles), but stuff that needs some rarer resoruces like machines.
