Hi guys,

I was wondering if there was any consensus on who should get the boot in terms of German generals, and who they should be replaced with? Franz Halder is pretty darn terrible, for example, but I am not sure how worth it it would be to replace him with someone better. And who might be a good replacement? Manstein?

I'd also like to know if anybody has found any truly terrible German leaders further down the chain of command. There are some pretty mediocre generals in charge of some infantry corps (XXXXII corps comes to mind, for example) but I am not sure how worth it it is to spend APs to fire them, rather than do something else with the points.

Thoughts?

Halder has a good admin rating which you want in senior command. Kluge is slightly weaker in that department, but has higher morale. If WitE2 is like WitE1, that's the most easily transmittable leadership attribute as it's not dependent upon range, but check the manual.

Schubert in 11th Armee is not so great but is expensive to replace. Otherwise, there are a good handful of Korps commanders with lackluster abilities. A couple of 4/5 ratings where they need better and you can probably find better.

As for replacements, as long as it's not so low as to make their sacking likely, I tend not to focus so much on political ratings, but think twice about a high combat rating if morale and admin abilities are low. Keep Model up your sleeve for a special occasion.
