T73 3/1/42 Here we see that the Germans have left their Balkan Allies to their own ideas on how to retreat. Note some are cut off that are not minimal rear guard units.

T75 3/8/42 This shows the Crimea. One Soviet tank unit was able to breakthrough and block his rear guards from their retreat.

T75 3/8/42 This view shows Kiev in view. It appears to be an open city with blown bridges.

T75 3/8/42 This view shows the current state of Minsk. It is now the Soviet railhead for the advance into Poland and beyond.

T75 3/8/42 This screen shows another railhead for the liberation of Lithuania. The Soviet winter offensive boost ends soon. Then the German line will probably stand firm.

T79 2/22/42 Here is the current Riga Front. No defense here, just blown bridges and rear guards. This is the last turn before the mud which starts on turn 80. The offensive will continue but will be much slower.

T79 3/22/42 Here is the Lithuania Front. Again no organized defense. Note the railhead which will fuel the action in the north along the Baltic.

T79 3/22/42 Here is the Bialystok Front. Note the railhead which will fuel the final offensives toward Warsaw, the Oder and finally Berlin. Everything south of the Pripyat Marshes is below minimums in supply and must stop their advance. The Germans must stop the Red Army soon in front of Berlin or the South of Russia will not need any further activity. All the rail repair units are north of the Pripyat.

Hi Fogger

We ran into a bug problem that might fix itself. I used a Soviet Offensive Chet #1 the turn before mud which functioned normally, However, when mud came the Soviet shock stayed very elevated at 120 instead of 65 for all mud turns. We stopped any attacks or offensive action to see if shock returns to normal when the mud ends. We did minimal activity and sent the files back and forth through the mud turns. The first non mud turn is on the next turn. If it returns to normal we will continue, if it does not then the scenario must end here on turn 92. I thought we would find out before another posting since nothing has moved. I should get the results from Willie tomorrow.

T92 5/6/42 Here is the Riga Front. Soon the Baltic coast will be reached in East Prussia. The end of the mud solved the problem of the defective Russian shock level of 120. It is now the correct 100 for a non mud turn. The Axis shock is also no longer 60. It is now 120 which is correct for now.

T92 5/6/42 Here is the Minsk Front. Warsaw, the battlefront and Minsk are circled in blue. South of this supply line there is no supply all the way east of Kiev. The Red Army will concentrate on the shortest route to Berlin.

T93 5/10/42 Here is the Konigsberg Front. Circled in blue is the tip of the northern supply line. There are two other supply rails south of this front. Soviet tanks have reached the Baltic coast just north of Konigsberg.

T93 May 10, 1942 Here is the Bialystok Front The German defense line is now in view. It may be tough fighting from here to Berlin with much slower progress.

FITE2 T96 Konigsberg Front. The Germans are forming a line that is slowing the advance considerably. It may just take a constant grind to get close to Berlin now. Maybe many turns of slow progress.

FITE2 T96 May 20th, 1942 Pinsk Front All the rails are now repaired up to the main front from the Baltic to the Pripyat Marshes. I now much consider sending troops and rail repair into the marshes to expand the front for further progress.

T101 6/7/42 This big picture view shows the front lines do not change much for now. the Germans have a strong line on a shorter front.

T101 6/7/42 This picture shows a closer view of the front in the South. The main front is dug in on both sides for the most part. To open things up I am moving into the swamp area. The German 42 shock affects will start soon which will force the Red Army on to the defensive for a while.

T105 June 21, 1942 It is now the 1 year anniversary of Barbarossa and time for the summer 42 Axis offensive. To prepare I have pulled back valuable units that I can't afford to lose in the Axis shock effects. There will be an operational pause until the Axis shock effects are over. That can start at any time. The system does not allow my screen shots at this time, maybe later.

On the Pinsk front the Axis have a line that holds right now and will continue to hold when the summer 42 offensive shock starts. The swamp will be the new front all the way into the south west of Kiev.

I was curious about how many trucks the Axis (and or the Red Army) has at different times during the scenario..in RL they both had a chronic shortage in 41-42 but in TOAW trucks do not break down (unless hit of course)...curious about how the scenario deals with them :).

Hi governato I have a screen shot showing the transport equipment for the Red Army. There is no shortage of trucks as shown, however, most of the transport duties are by horse. I have seen infantry units reduced to a movement of only 1 hex per turn due to shortage of horses. They must wait until more horses are delivered to be available to enter battle. I have tried to shield the artillery and motorized units from excessive losses. The infantry units bear the bulk of the losses and the shortage of horses.
