Appreciate thoughts, Its not really finished but I thought Id better upload now because after 2 years there is a grave chance Ill never get round to it.

Includes new tanks like T69II, EE9, EE11, Armata, T90, Stryker, BMP3, Challenger 2, Typhoon, Canberra, and so on.

I should point out, Ive borrowed liberally from others work, to the point where I cant remember what I borrowed and from where. But its all the modding community here, so perhaps view that as a collective effort.

There is a problem with the bitmap I made for the BMP3 from photos, not sure what it is, but when its destroyed it leaves a mark like a hydrogen bomb has gone off. Not quite sure what that is.

The Armata is seriously fun btw....

This is good stuff. One note, it is missing the ru, ir, and iq flags.

I meant to add in the preamble, there is a Chieftain Marksman in there if you select August 1985. The Team Yankee rulebook inspired me to put that in.

Is everyone finding this alright? I suppose I ought to up some photos at some point to show what ive done.

Ive not had anyone else have problems. Perhaps try downloading it again, or a different unziping program (winzip or Winrar, it should work with both).

Alright, in honour of the British Government releasing their defence review the other day, I thought I would release an update... This mainly updates the British and Russian Military, but im open to doing others if I can find some good details.

New Vehicles
Challenger 3 (to some extent conjectural till I can find better details)
Boxer MIV,including .50 and a conjectural 40mm CTA version, Mortar and Starstreak version
Warrior 40mm is still in there, but its not going to be useable unless you either set the game very late, or edit the database. Warrior 40mm turret has been cut in the defence review sadly.
Falcon AA vehicle. Only available for a short period in 1973, but it gives BAOR some much needed clout.
Dismountable Wombat platoon. Im not sure how much they did this in reality, but it certainly was plausible. So you now have a choice of the gun mounted or dismounted, but you cant have both.
Stormer Starstreak is modded to now have Starstreak II with greater range.
Centurion AVRE 105 (I will get around to doing a 165 at some point)
Kurganets 25. Complete with Bitmap based on a photograph taken from above. 30 and 57mm version.
Bumerang K17, with 30mm version. New bitmap.
BMD2M
BMD3 (partly new bitmap, I really need to do a better job of the turret which is just BMP2 as a placeholder)
BMD4 new bitmap. And my goodness, how I enjoy this buggy! The Airborne section also got a makeover in in equipment including RPG28 which has a chance of killing an Abrams.

Anyway, as always let me know if there are any problems, and Ill try and fix them.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bbdbsahr5h7w91f/Armoured%20Brigade1.1.rar?dl=0
T15, 30 and 57mm versions. New Bitmap.

Yeah, that appears to be the official name for it now. Considering its an entirely new turret and (smoothbore) gun, it seems fair.
https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/british-army-tank-numbers-drop-to-148-from-227/
The Boxer fitted with a 40mm CTA is a guestimate. Im not sure how likely it is they will get one. There Is a French remote turret for boxer offered, and ive heard from a guy who works for what was once Vickers that it seems likely there may be at least one alternative offered. They certainly need some alternative now the Warrior is to be withdrawn entirely.
The ATGM carrier is also conjectural, but the army have been testing Javelin in an external mount. Supposedly there was one version they tested on Salisbury plain they got 4 and a half kilometres out of it. Ive not modelled that, I thought it was a bit unfair on the Russians...

Incidentally, if someone sees some photographs taken from above of an Ajax or Ares, please let me know, I might be able to use them.. Ditto Boxer, at the moment its using the Stryker bitmap.

I also ought to point out, its referencing some of the French textures for the external mounts. So if people cant get it to work, you probably need the first DLC.

Wow, just read that they are really planning to cut down Challenger tank force to a token force.

Not really. Its still 148 tanks. Even 5 years ago, it is difficult to imagine that the Army would use more than 150 tanks in one go. There was a cut from 3 to 2 Tank Regiments about 4 years ago, so the maximum theoretical tank strength of the British Army in the field would be 100-116 tanks. So nothing has really changed, other than a cut to the Challenger 2 stockpile, many of which were probably non deployable without a rebuild anyway. As its, they have enough to deploy two tank regiments and fit out the single Reserve Tank Regiment to provide remounts. To get a tank with a new gun, new fire control and APS, its undoubtedly worth cutting 80 tanks that would never in a month of sundays have been rebuilt for operations, its not much of a loss I think.

Even the cut to the Infantry looks worse than it is. In theory its something like 82 thousand to 72 thousand. But as the Army is something like 8 thousand under strength, they are only really going to lose 4000, and those wont be made redundant, its going to be through natural wasteage.

New texture for BMP3, last one I did was the first time I edited it from a photo and it was a bit crap. This one shouldnt look like a nuclear explosion every time it cooks off either.
Note to self, commander position wants adjusting.

And the 57mm armed Kurgannets. The T15 has both these turrets as well.

Tempted to redo T14 now, it looks a bit ropy compared to this.

Thanks, you are too kind.

I was planning on doing an update with the Ukraine included, but I dont know. They use such a mass of strange kit, with contradictory figures, I really wonder if its at all viable. Its really difficult to even get figures for the latest updated T64's.

Thats the nice thing about earlier periods, most of the information has been declassified by now.
