I'm not sure if this is WAD or bugged. If i'm reading this data correctly, each of those 5 GER cavalry squad got to fire nearly 2 000 times during this fight! Since these squads are equipped with LMGs, i'm ready to grant this is actually possible (i.e. something that could had actually happenend in a eastern front battle), but i'm having a hard time believing none of those 5 squad ended up being destroyed/damaged at some point especially since they got to use their pistols a lot (firing 40 time with them).

I also noticed that lots of elements ended up destroyd by close range infantry weapons like pistol and hand gremade as soon as the fight begins, i.e. at 2000 + firing range.

In fewer words, does someone familiar with the combat engine could tell me if this is looking normal or not, and where i can learn more about the combat engine?

FPE - the number of times it fired/element

HPE - the number of times it hit/element

so yes they were heavily engaged but not that effective?

Yes. But is it looking normal to you or not? (insofar as the combat engine is supposed to work). What seems odd to me here is the fact they got way more FPE than pioneers, which are often the GER units getting the most FPE and HPE (with a good ration on top of that). And what about the firing range? I'm thinking those units may get more chance to fire than they should if a hand grenade can hit and destroy something at range 3000.

What does "HE HITS" mean?
Does it mean that a single shot from Pistol able to disrupt whole (full) enemy element? Doesn't matter what a size (how many men) its have.

The fire ranges look iffy. I looked through some of my Rifle/Pioneer/Cavalry squad combats and also see some hits at 1000+ metres. That's realy too far.

High Explosive Hits, so effective against anything that's squishy.

As this is aggregated and abstracted at a very high level you can imagine as it accounting for a few times where pistols are used in close quarters.

Do you have a save for this, either before or after the combat? Being an urban hex this is high intensity combat, although even so it looks odd. The hand grenade at 3000 yards looks clearly bad. Moving this to the tech support area. A save before the combat where we can try to repeat it would be especially useful.

This save was made just before combat, thanks for looking it up.
