I saw the new DLC is out. Is there a list of changes to the base game? I looked on Steam and here, but couldn't find it.

• Fix: The weapon #408 (M40 106mm RCL) hull traverse limit value was not 0.0, preventing the weapon from firing in most cases.
• Fix: Add placeholder ammunition to the unit #770 (Yugoslav 60mm M57 Light Mortar) smoke round slot so correct options are shown in the command menu.
• [campaigns] Improve the 'Breaking the Chains' campaign missions and the campaign epilogue.
• [database] Add the Netherlands faction.
• [scenarios] Add the 'Three Avenues', 'Rescue on Autobahn', and 'Check and Checkmate' scenarios.
• [ui] Improve the database editor text labels and tooltips.
• [ui] Halve the campaign epilogue text scrolling speed.
v1.062 – 28th October 2020
• Fix: Steam Workshop campaign loading was broken.
• Fix: The AI counter-attack % was not always reset if loading a savegame version older than 1.053.
• Fix: The scenario/campaign loading errors were not visible in the main menu.
• Fix: The player character could not always be reassigned after loading a dynamic campaign savegame and starting the next campaign mission.
• [campaigns] Add the 'Breaking the Chains' linear campaign.
• [database] Add the Czechoslovakia faction.
• [database] Chieftain tank armour values updated.
• [database] Adjusted accuracy and maximum ranges on QF 20 Pounder gun, and added AP rounds.
• [database] Unit 567 (DDR T-72M1) had a wrong desert turret sprite.
• [engine] Implement the linear campaign system.
• [engine] Implement the player side auto-deploy.
• [engine] Add the training and morale modifiers to the Mission Editor.
• [engine] AI opponent: Use wedge/line/echeloned-line formation under fire instead of column/march.
• [engine] Add the map.xml 'impassableSlopes' attribute to all maps. If set to FALSE then the
impassable slopes are not generated when the map is loaded.
• [scenarios] Update 'Elastic Defence' and 'In the Shadows of the Alps'.
• [sprites] Add the rocket artillery NATO and stylized icons: 'veh_arty_rocket' for friendly vehicle units and 'arty_rocket' for others.
• [sprites] Warsaw Pact infantry sprites adjusted for better skin tone colors.
• [sprites] Improved Soviet tank commander and MG gunner.
• [ui] Implement the database editor UI scaling.
• [ui] 1.8x and 2.2x UI sizes use 2 pixels for the font drop shadow.
• [ui] Rename the settings launcher window and edit the windowed/fullscreen mode text labels.

The linear campaign system, player side auto-deploy and database editor scaling are probably the most important, feature wise.

Why do Infantry HQ teams deploy so far from units? All my Infantry HQs deployed 1-3 km behind infantry units. Well outside of HQ radius. Shouldn't a HQ be in the centre of a company/group of platoons?

Database editor now scales with resolution you have selected, so letter are bigger and easier to read. There is also a ton of new labels and hints, so it easier to use overall.

As for HQ, well the auto deployment is not yet perfect, and the primary goal was to make game setting easier and faster as units are not all clustered on the zone edge.

I saw the same happen for enemy for long time, though. Infantry HQs would be way behind.
IMO they need to be distributed to provide good command coverage to infantry and indirect fire units.

How realistic is that we see linear campaign(s) in AB sequel ?

Very certain. This is just a test-bed, we will expand linear campaigns with additional features to become integral part of the game next to dynamic campaigns.

Do linear campaigns allow pre-selected forces for missions?
