Entirely random one here, in a recent scenario I had a Japanese carrier task force with battleship support raid down towards that whole area between Hawaii and the Marshall Islands catching me wrong footed. I was trying to call in the clans to cut them off before they could successfully withdraw North to home waters.

I had multiple units closing in from different directions and the Japanese broke up into smaller fragments, which then intermingled with other vessels and it was incredibly difficult to see the big picture of what was going on on, I resorted to printing a section of the game map and running a pen and paper plot to try to work out interception courses and through luck managed to bag five carriers and the Mushashi.

Is there a way to do this electronically that anyone has come up with, even if you have to enter coordinates manually?

This is made harder by not being able to run wiptracker...any suggestions?

Back in 2010 and 2011 I modified the original map surface from the files as a pdf then placed into
Autodesk (CADD) as I have been in architectural and electrical engineering and design for over 30 years.
I then changed all deep water from deep blue to white for mark up as one plays the game. Easy to do in in
PDF Revu. Also with the map in AutoCAD one is able to zoom into a specific area rather then use the entire
map for ease of plotting operations, recon, intel, unit locations, logistics, etc. in desired areas of operations.
These are available upon request and scaled to any particular area desired. Let me know and Iwill get them
out to who ever would like copies. I did this a few times back then. Only takes a minute or so. Super easy
with to do with AutouoCad. The initial changing from dark blue to white was the real problem. Thousands of
hexes and nooks and crannies from text to coastal areas, etc. Whew. That was a project. But done.

Most certainly. I'll create a few examples to give you an idea what I can do with the CADD file. Then I
can send you the pdf files. I can't remember how to do that through forum. I get on it after I flame up
the new smoker I picked up couple weeks ago. First I had do some venting in the garage through an old
furnace vent. Then eason the smoker. Beef brisket is my first contestant on todays menu.

I created a few examples of different areas of operations. Be nice if I knew how to upload these for everyone to look at and use.

Depending upon the size of the file, you can add it as an attachment. You might have to change the type of file and then the person has to change it back.

I will give that a try again. Been about 10 years since I last did that.

That is the only example I could upload. All the others are just to large a file.

That does look nice. It kind of also shows where the land used to be during the Ice Ages although now it is considered the coastal waters.

I find them handy. You can make notes in PDF or I believe also paint. They also print out nice on 11x17 if you wish to make handwritten notes. Much easier to read without all the dark blue sea hexes.
