No, even though the Germans, in fact ALL nation's, seem to have two blank NATO counters, the blank counters were only displaying on the map for the British and Canadians. I don't understand why, though.

That's what I thought originally, except that divisions and small corps all display correctly for all other countries (i.e. with a cross in the rectangle), as far as I can tell, even though two of their infantry counters are missing the cross. i don't know why it only seems to be an issue for the British and Canadians.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 13. But I imagine paint.net (which is free) would also work. You need to use something that will preserve the alpha channel (transparent) background.

Status: offline 		Personally I think I'd prefer it if the "airfield" counters, used to represent unspotted air units, were also round, to better distinguish them from land and naval units. I've done a rough mock-up with just the British counters, see below, what do you think? Getting the placement of the counters exactly right is difficult with my software, though (or it might just be that I don't know how to use the Guides feature properly in Photoshop Elements):

Are there any other simple tweaks to any of the other counters that people think would be nice?

Thanks, I think I prefer them too. I will try to figure out a better way to align the counters correctly on the counter sheet before I attempt to change these for more countries.

Btw I hope Phalen doesn't mind me trying to make these changes to his counter mod, but it seems to have been abandoned. I'd be very happy to work together with PHalen on improving his wonderful counters further.

Status: offline 		I'm trying to change the colour from some countries, but it's being a pain with paint.net
Funnily, windows paint allow me to change the color without affectin the unit simbol or the country chevron...sadly it eats the transparency.

Status: offline 		I like most of the country colours, but it's a shame there is some duplication of colours e.g. I think Finland, Hungary and Bulgaria all have the same colour.

Status: offline 		I ported this mod for WarPlan Pacific and in the process changed all the air units to circles including the low recon ones.

Here comes the tricky part. I guess I'm too much of a forum rookie to be allowed to post large files or urls, but the file is at the imgur address below. You'll have to make it a real url.

Sorry about my long absence.
I got engulfed in the Napoleonic era until I overdosed & took a long gaming/modding break.
So I didn’t even notice when Warplan Pacific released.
I had no idea the “Packed WP NATO counters” mod had such dedicated users!

I’m very flattered & grateful by your efforts to keep this mod alive!
(I can also imagine how pissed off you must have been, so sorry about that...)
The release of must-buy Warplan Pacific has scratched my itch again so I’d be happy work with you to improve the mod further.
Meanwhile, you’ve both done great jobs with adjusting the mod in line with the ways I would have done.
Ppmd’s WP Pacific mod looks great! Glad you found the USMC counter.

I'll to post an “official” version 3.2 of the WP mod later today.

Yes, I’ve only used 4 counter colors for all minor nations (with Poland being the he only exception).
I don’t think more counter colors add much, and many people have problems distinguishing between especially green colors.
And I do feel it’s important to keep the counters clean, simple & easy to distinguish.

By the way:
I use Inkscape before exporting to Paintnet png files.
(Over-kill to use vector graphics I know but great fun…😊)

Status: offline 		PHalen! Nice to see you back on the forums. I love your mod and love that you had already done the work for all the Pacific nations. I personally like the colors you used and think they work great together (in WarPlan Europe and Pacific). That you are an artist is evident in your work. All I did was hack at your mod using paint 3d. Very happy to see you back in Warplan. I just found your version 3.2 and looking forward to any future work you may do!

Status: offline 		I'm using it with Warplan Pacific, and when in the fog of war, the counters are not displaying correctly, they just appear as these small black dots.

I dont know how to add images, if someone tells me how I'll post a screenshot.
