Hi, when using Adobe Acrobat Reader to read a manual, I like to have the setup as follows: fit to width + bookmark bar (with contents the table of content) stuck on the left. When I scroll pages with mouse wheel, everything's OK, the setup is sticky but each time I click on one item in the contents bar to jump to another chapter, the page stops being "fit to width" and changes to "fit to page". See images.

I can't find a way in the acrobat settings to have it "fit to width" all the time, whether I scroll or I jump using the bookmark bar (with table of content in it).

Would greatly appreciate help ...
Thank you.

Thanks. I just installed it and it looks really good. Will stress test it a few days to be sure and if it works good, will stop using adobe acrobat.

Thanks again for the link !

Well, I have to disagree with you. Grigsby's WITE2 manual is a true masterpiece !! By far the best manual I ever read (because yes, I always RTFM !!)

I can't use what I don't have access to. At least the information is there.

Just hit on Ctrl+2 on keyboard. That shouldn't be too hard or time consuming. Ctrl+l for full screen, then Ctrl+2 for fit to width.

Thanks, didn't know this shortcut. But honestly, SummatraPDF (see link above) seems better and it keeps the settings ! If for some reason I decide to revert to Adobe, will use ctrl-2.
