Just wanted to say thank you for those who have posted AARs in this section.

I have had this game since 2014 (yes, since the release of V1.0), and bought the ADG Game about 2 years ago. This is my 4th attempt in playing a Solitaire game to learn the mechanics. I'm currently playing the MWIF version, and the Board Game (replicating moves), to really try to learn. I really like replicating moves on the board. For some reason, I find it easier to see "what's happening" using the physical format.

Although I have read both the manuals (Rules, etc.) from ADG, and have read the MWIF manuals front to back, and watched the very good tutorial videos online (e.g. Tabletop, etc.), nothing, and I mean nothing, helps more than to read the excellent AARs in this section.

This is especially true on AARs that details the scrapping, reinforcement (build) selection and priorities, Neutrality Pacts, trades, etc., on things that is hard to grasp, or hard to understand the "why" of the selections.

Your dedication, and amazing willingness to write and share your play, thoughts, ideas, have made this game accessible to me.

So again, and because folks don't tell you this enough, A BIG THANK YOU.

Yes, I concur, all these AAR's over the years have raised my motivation to learn the game and play one day against some other human. They are also proving that MWIF is playable and give valuable pointers on how to cope with minor problems and bugs.
The most valuable AAR's are too me the ones which run to the end, as in GT JA45. There are many AAR's started, but only a few to be played till the end ...
Thank you.

Me too. I lurk here and read them.

I've only played solitaire occasionally and it's hard to know if you're doing good or not if you're not playing with someone you can learn off of. Like I've managed to have Germany not be able to conquer France until 1941 which seems very bad play. Italy usually just completely spanked by the Commonwealth, others seem to do a lot better with Italy than me.
