I got it running on ubuntu linux/wine. I did see a couple issues:

- some unit icons are blank (ok on windows). I'd guess this might be a filename uppercase/lowercase issue.
- got a crash when attacker was retreating from combat (AI retreats are ok). This could have been my error (total newbie to the game).

Otherwise, it appears to work surprisingly well.
