Are there any plans for Gary Grigsby to release an updated version of 'WitP:AE' as he did with 'War in the East 2'?

Thank you

Lynn_slith, please do not take our joking wrong. This question has come up a number of times. Once just a couple of weeks ago.

No problem. It's my first time on this section of the forum so wasn't privy to the previous thread. I purchased WarPlan Pacific recently and am a little let down. WitP's video's on youtube have always intrigued me with it's incredible maps, battle animation and it's seemingly overall immersion qualities. I guess I'm a little concerned about the age of the game, and since Grigsby updated War in the East, I thought it obvious that he would do the same for what is arguably considered his masterpiece. But since everyone seems to be in agreement that an update version in not in the works I'll probably just wait for it to go on sale and give it a try anyway.

Thanks

WitPAE is a great game. You'll love it. I bought it at full price almost 12 years ago and it was well worth the price. In terms of this thread, it is best to search for the topics you're looking for using google or the search feature here. Beware, there is a long learning curve and loading onto a win 10 PC can be tricky. But there are solutions for that to. Have fun....GP

In actual fact, the AE version of WitP is not strictly a Grigsby creation. It was updated/created by Henderson Field Designs, built on GGs WitP. So it really is WitP 2. There just is no WitP 3 in the works.

Thanks for the info. I'll mull it over a bit, but will probably purchase the game. WarPlan Pacific is, regretably, leaving me a little cold.

Thanks again

You're not the only one. But then it's quite possible that WITP-AE has spoiled me for anything not on the same epic scale.

I believe Matrix usually has a summer sale, probably after July 4th when most people are heading outdoors instead of to the keyboard.
