Sorry, this didn't help. The thread was from 2107. You shouldn't experience this **** when you buy a game in 2021. I've bought several games lately, with no problems with the mouse pointer. Argh.

Yeah, I really think the designers should cough up some code to solve this ****, I mean NO other game I have does this. As said, I tried all the Microsoft "solutions", but nope.

without a system report it's very hard to say what it is or could be without guessing tbh

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just attach it to your post as it's a Txt file which is then permitted to attach to the forum.

as always sorry for your issue, but the more information you give the better and more correct the reply,...

i'll be honest with you, 90% of the time, it's user issues like

old drivers or a poor installation of a upgrade eg windows X to version 10, with X having issues that the upgrade didn't or doesn't always fix, where as a clean install of windows fixes almost everything but most either haven't the knowledge to do or wish to spend the time backing up and doing correctly,...
incompatible programs or motherboard overlays or other types of overlays loaded at start up
poor anti virus programs
far too much junk loaded at start up
a out of date system or a corrupted one

and so on, the list is endless, that's why more information is most helpful to get to the bottom on any issue.

there's only one other thread who has posted a issue with a mouse, so your the 3rd only user with a mouse issue, and this was the reply which worked for them

quote:

Can you try the following:

1. Press Windows and X keys together
2. Select settings
3. Then pick devices and then mouse
4 The addition mouse settings
5. Then select the Pointer Options tab
6. uncheck the box which says “display pointer trails”.

Thx for trying to help. I simply found an old Dacota gaming mouse lying around (10 years old), and that did the trick. The mouse that didn't work with the game is three years old and works with all my other games. Molto strano ... Ok, so now onwards to the game!
