Due to the time it is taking to create these new planets the video update has been delayed till tomorrow......

With the new look of the mod, I am working on a concept as mentioned below:

- The mod will be divided into several parts telling The Adventures of Luke Skywalker between Episode IV and Episode VI.
- Each part will exit in the 4 year period between A New Hope and Return of the Jedi
- Each part will have stories and characters from the different comics and novels in this period
- Each part will be based on stories which are now listed as Star Wars Legends
- Each part will come with an Official Map of that area of the Star Wars galaxy
- The focus is on the battle between the Empire and the Rebellion.
- Races in each part will be allies towards either the Empire or the Rebellion
- Each part will take much less time to develop than one larger mod
- Each part will have different characters taken from the Star Wars comics and novels
- Each part will tell stories of the characters' journeys that take them to Yavin, Hoth and Endor

A big change to the mod is correcting the names of the planets and moons.
I had originally named them for example as Yavin IV.
This was actually incorrect and the names will be corrected to the proper number example Yavin 4

Apologies for not getting videos out in the last few days..... I was walking a customer's dog which was attacked by a swarm of bees and when I tried to get the bees off the dog the swarm attacked me. Hoping to get the next video out either today or tomorrow.

Today we start daily videos showing the development of the Star Wars mod.

I had to make some changes with the planets as I was not altogether happy with how they were looking.

Update on my mods....

I have not released a video for a while as I am trying to fix a technical issue where I am getting some sort of audio feedback on my microphone. Still trying to fix but hopefully will have videos coming daily soon.

Meanwhile, development on this mod has been progressing nicely.

I have added a new video to my channel today where I talk about how Tatooine is added to the mod with all those races being on the planet. Will Tatooine be run by a race of Hutt, Twilek or Jawas?

You will note my new username is now rjord2021.

I have signed up for the beta of Distant Worlds 2 some 10 minutes ago and after watching the stream I have a couple of ideas on how to do the modding for the ships in my mods in DW2.

With the 3d model for the ships and bases, you will have the main design 3d shape and then you have to create the 3d components such as engines, weapons, etc that may be added on during the game by the player

This is exactly what I was hoping for so I am going to start doing some preliminary work prior to hopefully being accepted as a beta tester for DW2.

The picture below shows an example of the Design Overview Screen in Distant Worlds 2 with each of the balls being a component you have added to the ship. So for example with the ships I will create for the Star Wars mod for say the T-65 X-Wings you can have a module added for the Incom 4L4 fusial thrust engines and then have a module added for the
Class 1 Hyperdrive and a separate 3d model for the Chempat "Defender" deflector shield projector which will be attached to the main body when you upgrade during the game.

So you build the 3d model for the initial ship or base and then need to have the 3d models for each component.

Just a quick update......
Videos for Distant Worlds 1 will hopefully continue from Monday next week.

I am currently working on Distant Worlds 2 and have started modding today ..... The first project is building a 3D model of a Star Destroyer for the Star Wars Mod.

Over the coming weeks and months I will be spending a lot more time on the Star Wars mod for Distant Worlds 1. I have developed some interesting and new ideas for the game that I am sure Star Wars fans will love.

I will discuss some of these ideas on my youtube channel when new videos resume in the next week or two.

I am back.....

I have had huge problems where I couldn't log in because of one error or another..... and a message telling me my username was not activated.

Just managed to fix the issue...whatever it was.

Will do a post in a few days when I am caught up on where the projects are.
