Newbie here.

I see the thread regarding issues with 4k monitors.

The only issue I have with my 4k monitor is the same I have when playing WITPAE, everything is too damn small to be legible.

WITPAE allows me to add command line switches that customize the game resolution.

That didn't work for this game.

I am able to reduce resolution to something manageable by first switching the resolution of the monitor before launching the game and then switching it back after closing the game, but that is a serious PITA.

Is there a way to customize the resolution to something manageable?

And as a side bar, who was the village idiot who decided it would be a good idea to place the combat results screen at the top of the map and NOT allow it to be moved?
Any old codger can tell you that having to crane your neck to get the combat results into the lower half of your bifocals puts a strain on the neck that will quickly lead to deciding the game isn't worth playing.
One would think GG is an old enough codger to know this.

THIRTY EIGHT views and not a single response.

WOW what a receptive crowd here!

Looks like if someone actually wants help he should stick to to the WITPAE forum, cause you guys suck eggs.

Please follow the instructions here to adjust the game to your 4k system. We're in the progress of implementing full in-application scaling, but in the meantime for Windows 10 using the System (Enhanced) scaling works just fine for most and looks good on my 4k system as well.

Also, as a separate note:

Neither of these are helpful comments and are pretty close to violating the forum rules on personal attacks and civility. Please keep your requests constructive and civil.

I just saw your post today and I assume those who saw it earlier did not know the correct reply.

OK Eric. I can be civil.

Frankly, I feel duped and am strongly considering demanding a refund, knowing of course I will never receive one.

Feeling duped and taken advantage of typically causes me to lash out with insults directed at those who are most deserving of them. For that breach of conduct I apologize.

Why on earth was a man who has produced so many games able to overlook something as important as being able to move the combat results screen to location suitable to the user?

How can a man so skilled and experienced in creating computer applications overlook the need to provide control over screen resolution to the user in an era of ultra high resolution monitors that make everything too small to discern?

Why is this only being added as an after thought?

I realize you have no answers to these questions, but surely Gary MUST have.

ps: the mirror download links in your linked thread refuse to open. A new tab appears and is gone in a flash with no new page opening. Is there another route to that update?
