Situation: fire phase - fire/miss or hit - click next unit.
I expect that the next unit will be selected instantatneously but there is a delay, which sometimes takes mutiple mouse-clicks to get to the next unit. Is there an animation that needs to complete? Do I really need to click the button (on the left) before selecting the next unit (on the right)? I know, first-world issue. I am getting used to it but impatient sod that I am, it gets a bit frustrating.

I agree with the above, if I click on a unit it should dismiss any dialogs. If I click on the dialog it should stay open until I dismiss it.

I think the delay that I get frustrated with is caused by the rotating target circle (the one with all the dots) - it takes too long to be dismissed and nothing can be selected while it runs.
