If you are using the Automatic AI Air Assist, then after turn 1, the AI will always delete your air directives and create it's own based on how you've told the AOGs to act (what HQs they are following and whether they are set to Naval Ops). The only way you can modify the ADs is if you turn off the Automatic AI assist, and switch to manually clicking the AI air assist. In that way, if you don't click it after you've changed the air directives in the air planning phase, you'll keep your modified ADs and see them executed. That said, it helps to know what version you are using. It's also good if you can attach a save game as it makes it easier to diagnose what's going on. If you can't zip up the file and attach it, you can send it to 2by3@2by3games.com. But fundamentally, if you want to create/adjust ADs, you'll need to switch to manual AI Air Assist.
