A virus type of program hogging lots of your bandwidth, super imposing itself over everything else stating that it does not have access to the internet. You might have something called "Feeds" or "Microsoft Content" bogging down your computer.

I don't get those but around noon and around midnight my time I find that I can sign into the Matrix site but when I try to navigate to a different page/thread in the forum, I get the Gateway Fail or Gateway Time Out message. I have to exit Chrome and start up again but am likely to run into the same problem accessing Matrix for several hours. I do not have that problem for any other site so it is not the connection at my end causing the problem. I think England must have bandwidth issues on sub-sea cables or Matrix is doing server maintenance stuff at times I am trying to access. I blame Tik-Tok Teens!

Your computer might also be doing upgrades or looking for them thinking that you should be sleeping at noon and eating/drinking (among other things!) at midnight!
