I am playing the Stalingrad to Berlin scenario, I have the latest beta installed, I'm playing the Axis, and I'm on turn 3. I'm supposed to get the German 306th and 321st Infantry Divisions from the West Europe TB for the map, yet they have arrived, but I have no idea where they are at? I don't see them on the map at all. Any clues? I thought they would pop up near Berlin, but nope. I have no idea where they are at.

Click on "Info Screens" top row, second from the left.
Click on the symbol with the two arrows in the second line. Then you see the reinforcement screen.
Search for your divisions, they should show "Map" in the second last row.
In the last row (hex) there are the coordinates where the divisions currently are.
Click on it - and here you go!

or use the commander's report and filter to 'arrived', I check that at the end of every turn in case I forgot something. Also check for 'loaded' in the CR, or that division on the trains somewhere on the 1941 borders is so easy to overlook

Hello, yes, I've checked all that. I've checked the commander's report and there are no coordinates for the divisions. They show that the have arrived from the West TB but they are not on the map at all.

I made a test run with this scenario till turn three. The divisions turned up on map.

At least now you know where they could be...perhaps a bug, if they don't show up in your game.

This game is a mod. I tried the vanilla game and the units appeared. The only thing I have done in this mod is naming the German units in German and adding some units left out in the vanilla game. I changed the 10th Panzer from going to North Africa to going to Russia but everything else is the same. My problem is that when a unit transfers from the West to the map, instead of popping up in a hex near Berlin, I'll find the unit on the Commander's Report and when I click on the division's HHQ, it show that the division is in transition. I can understand if it's in transition for a couple of turns, but after so many turns it never appears. It seems to be in limbo.

Got it. Maybe it's best to ask the moderators to shift your post to the "Scenarion and Modding" section, perhaps they can help you there.

Are these missing units set up in the scenario data to arrive on the MAP or the Axis Reserves (AR)? If they are setup to arrive directly on the MAP, then an arrival hex needs to be set in the editor. If the units arrive via the Axis Reserves, then the player chooses the hex in which these units arrive while in game.

The missing units should have appeared on the MAP just like they would have in the vanilla game. I did not change unit deployments at all except for the 10. Panzer-Division, and that showed up with no problems. It seems I might have to go into the editor and assign LOCATIONS to units arriving on the MAP. I was under the impression that all units arriving on the MAP spawned near the capital city, Berlin; It works like this in the vanilla game, I just don't have any idea why it doesn't happen in my game?

I just looked in the editor and you should only have to assign an arrival hex if the unit has a delay. I was mistaken on my earlier post. Since the units start the scenario in another theater box, you can't set an arrival hex. Not sure what is going on here.

Hello Trey, I do know about assigning an arrival hex. I have done this yet nothing happens. I am continuing playing a game I'm in to see if anything happens. I will try different things to see what works and what doesn't. I will transfer a unit from the Axis Reserves to the map and see if that works.

In the editor set the units to move to the Axis Reserves from whatever theatre box they are in. Then in game you can transfer them to the map and specify which hex they arrive in.

This would be my recommendation as well.

I tried this with the 10. Luftwaffen-Feld-Division. The division was in Axis Reserve and I transferred it to the map. Same thing happened as before. I've decided to just have the divisions that are scheduled to appear on the MAP do so like they do in WITE. Only units that will transfer are ones from one Box to the next. I might also start from scratch and trace my steps one step at a time to see what happens. I really don't think anything I've done could have negated the automatic unit deployment from TB to MAP.

If you upload your mod here in this thread I will have a look at it and see if I can figure out what the issue is.

The v1.01.02 update that should go up literally any minute now has a change that might help this, although it may have nothing to do with what you're seeing. It was possible for units to have a "hidden" in transfer flag set that didn't show up in the editor. With this latest version when you load a scenario into the editor, it clears in transfer flags for all units. So just loading and save the scenario will fix this. The in transfer flag is set when a player transfers a unit between TBs. We noticed that some units had this flag set when Trey was working on a new scenario. Not sure how it happened, but one way would be if a scenario designer took a unit in a TB box on the map in the editor and ordered it to transfer to a different TB. You wouldn't see the data in the unit tab, but if you go to the reinforcement screen you could see it there in the Transfer column as In Transfer. Starting with 1.01.02 when you load the scenario into the editor it will zero these out, so you have to look for it using an earlier exe to see if that might have been part of the problem.

This probably isn't the issue you're running into, but I wanted to mention it in any case. Best would be to upload the scenario so others can see if they can figure out what's going wrong. Good luck.

Thank you for update. I tried it out but it did not work. I am starting another mod based on my recent failure and will walk through it step by step and see if I can find out what the problem is. I did create and add some historical units to the game that were missing in the vanilla. I do not think this would have created any problems.

It could cause a problem if you have several all arriving in the same hex at the same time? Run the check scenario from within Editor and it will tell you about problems like that. Also problems if leaders are assigned twice or units set to arrive in off-map hexes etc.

I have finally solved the problem. It seems when I edited the High Command, OKH, I changed it to O.K.H., the game no longer recognized the word. Once I changed it back to OKH, the game recognized it and the reinforcements from the West arrived where they were supposed to. I guess somethings should not be changed in the editor. Funny thing is, I spend more time in the editor than actually playing the game. That's the problem when your a historical perfectionist

Glad you got it fixed.

I wouldn't advise changing the names of units. I remember in WITW this could cause problems with the AI.

its the same reason that STVAKA can't be rederred Stavka in game - the code looks for the original name in too many places, so as above, some things are best left well alone unless you have access to the .exe as well

I always make a copy of a vanilla game to mod. I never mess directly with vanilla. It could have repercussions I most likely would regret. Thank you all for the replies and feedback.
