Hi, I am still playing my game with Old Crow Balthazor in my 1920 scenario. But I have a question that causes some problems in current game. I will put it in points so it will be easier to answer:

1.Each country in Unit panel in editor has a list of available units for the scenario. When I add UNIT script, for example additional units mobilize, do I need to have them available in country’s units list? Or the game will “create” them, according to the what is written in script? For example in 1920 scenario I made a UNIT script for Pilsudski HQ. Poles can choose in DECISION event to put him in field command. So no need to add Pilsudski HQ into country’s unit list in editor? Right?

2.Second question is tied up with first. What about with production queue list? I guess I misunderstood the editor panel. Because in my scenario units that will appear as in reinforcements, in production queue are also available for purchase. How to solve that?

3.Convoys from minors - don’t want to bother much, so I will just ask in original SCWWI which country (minor) give a convoy to the major power? I will need to find a script that I can analyze and change into my scenario.

Hi

1. You don't need to put unit names in the country's Build List if they will be arriving by script.

However, there is one exception to that: HQs. If a HQ is not in the Build List then if it arrives by script it will have a default rating of 5. So for Pilsudski you may want to add him to the Build List with a better rating than 5.

2. If a unit name is in the Production Queue then it should not also be available for purchase. However, units being in the scripts (and not yet deployed) do not affect the ability to buy units up to the Build Limit.

e.g. if Poland has a tank unit build limit of 3, then Poland can buy up to 3 tank units even if there are scripts to deploy tanks (that have not yet fired).

If that is the issue, you can always delay the ability to purchase these unit types until after the scripts have fired.

3. Canada sends a convoy to the UK.

Hi,
I am working on my on Polish-Soviet War beta 3.0. I got technical question, maybe stupid but I really can't get through it.
In this scenario Ukraine is minor of Poland. I am trying to change its research parameters. I assume it should look like that:
Campaign>edit country data>Ukraine>edit research>apply data>Poland>select all. ??? As i understand doing like this should change the whole minor country setting. I did like this, but units I already deployed on the map have the old settings for research. Should I replace them first, and then deploy again?
Other thing is I used super heavy artillery slot to create special unit (only one) for Soviets: horse artillery. It's all the same like normal artillery, only two features are different: they have same amount of action points like cavalry, but they can't carry so much ammo, only 6 shells max. This reflects Budionny's Cavalry army artillery, which mobility played crucial role in breakthrough on the Ukrainian front.
Question is how can I make the sound this unit make while firing? Super heavy artillery fire sound doesn't fit for horse artillery.

If Ukraine is a Minor then it receives research from Poland, as its Major, only its upgrade settings can be tweaked, i.e. the extra cost of upgrading.

It should therefore be possible to upgrade them to have the same levels as Poland?

As to the sound, there are two artillery_attack .ogg files, and if one is more applicable than the other then you can always copy and rename it to the other, i.e. so that both files sound the same.
