If there was any way that the 'show command efficiency' button could show which units are out of command range at the time of pressing the button as opposed to their status at the start of the turn, that would be amazing.

This would really make a difference in book keeping/click volume.

You can check the CR and sort by DtHQ- Distance to HQ. Negative numbers indicate the unit is out of command range.

Thanks xhoel, that is useful.

But what would be far more useful is what I'm asking for in the OP - if the map command efficiency overlay could work properly, ie updating at time of clicking (as the CR function you are pointing to presumably does).

The more of the game that can be played on the map, and the less time spent in spreadsheets the better.
