Zonguldak.

You'll only get a message the first time, but rest assured that the mine is hit every time.

Yes, every turn. This insures a lot of action at sea off that coast. I have sent a lot of Russian warships to Neptune's Grotto with the Goeben in combination with the rest of the small Ottoman fleet. Driving off the Russian sub, granted,, is a little harder.

Yeah I don't really see what Turkey is expected to do against that sub

Here are some possibilities, some are admittedly easier/cheaper than others:

- Position their destroyer in that port to attack the sub
- Buy an Airship for use against the Russian navy
- Deploy an Artillery piece to shell the Russian navy

Context in my mind is I had major trouble with the Russian sub just sitting there and that was BEFORE the patch which improved sub defense.

The turkish destroyer only gets one attack per turn, and it's so weak, even when reinforced, and beginning its turn directly next to the sub, it still does 0-1 damage per turn to that sub, and unless the sub dives it's worth it for the Entente player to keep the sub there even if takes some damage, because it does so much MPP damage to Turkey (the major which most needs MPP for the Centrals)

Seems a bit like a no brainer for the Russians to place the sub there as soon as Turkey declares. No need to risk your Dreadnought or anything. Open to contrary opinions.

If you really want that little pest gone operate some Ger/AH plane to the Istanbul area where it can reach the sub but has max possible supply. Recon bombers are surprisingly good vs subs for example.
A Bulgarian recon bomber would be even better since it has German tech but can also serve under a turkish HQ.

Yeah getting some sort of German or Austrian unit (sub helps for spotting too) into the Black Sea is a top priority. Unfortunately this means you have to defeat Serbia ASAP. If that doesn't happen then Turkey is in trouble.

I was toying around with the idea of an event that sells Turkey an understrength recon bomber. Historically the Germans did send them a few planes which were useful at detecting the Allied fleet.
