No db. It's not operational by Japan, nor even the US yet that's been publicly put out there, there has been lots of testing phase, some sea trial phase stuff I think earlier this year. My guess beyond just probably nobody has requested it yet, is lack of details, same goes for spy-6, though slightly more is available but it's still a guessing game, particularly for 7's LRDR precursor model. It's interesting though one is supposedly currently being installed in Clear Space Force Station (AK) - LRDR variant at least, activation that was alleged to happen this year the GAO says it's not likely till 2023 (at least actual transfer to the Air Force that is). Additionally it's been supposedly selected by the Canadians for the future surface combatants, and the Spanish for their F110's under construction, in addition to what the Japanese may do. Supposedly it includes early warning, offering ground based interceptor mid-course guidance and continuous coverage even under maintenance, probably why you're asking with all your ballistics testing. Those features are in addition to things the SPY-6x variants do, unclear if it's at the same time or in different configs\mode. The little searching I've done, and the fact they are pitching a back-fit for the 1X installs to 7 I'm guessing it's a more versatile components model\mode sort of thing, not too unlike the variants of the Spy6. Some links for you (not a lot here) re:-7 https://www.defensedaily.com/topic/long-range-discrimination-radar-lrdr/ https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/news/features/2020/why-spy-7-is-the-world-s-most-versatile-radar.html https://www.lockheedmartin.com/en-us/products/spy-7.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLhwtXeQrBo (nothing like a good ad video lol that tells you almost nothing) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Range_Discrimination_Radar https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/how-navy-warship-could-soon-kill-hypersonic-or-nuclear-missile-178872 re:-6 https://missilethreat.csis.org/defsys/amdr/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/SPY-6 https://www.forbes.com/sites/lorenthompson/2020/09/22/raytheon-presses-case-for-replacing-lockheed-martin-radar-in-missile-defense-of-japan/ Interesting conversation all things Aegis, hardware and software: https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/39508/how-the-aegis-combat-system-is-evolving-to-dominate-naval-warfare-of-the-future I could work up some game-tested hypothetical entries but sensors don't get added that way (as hypothetical) so I'm not sure if they would add them as it would be mostly arbitrary outside of the few things that are known. Have to do more than just the sensors though, as some other tables will need updating since the 7 supposedly? does illumination too, so have to update that stuff to make sure it can guide certain comm-links etc. Was thinking 2 models, SPY-7 LRDR (BMD and ASAT only focus),SPY-7(V)1 (BMD capable but area\self defense focused\ranged). One for the hobby to-do list perhaps.
