Very sad. Very sad indeed.

A article and lots of great photos on the Guardian site.

RIP Charlie. I wonder if this will be the end of the Rolling Stones!

They do have a Tour planned that Charlie Watts was not going to join for health reasons. They already had hired another drummer for that tour.

Personally I think Charlie lived a good long life, and I think he and Bill where the most level headed of the bunch. I really enjoyed them when Brian Jones was alive, but he could not handle drugs like Keith. Glad Keith is drug free (still smokes). But it just won't be the same with out Charlie and Bill (Bill is still alive he just left the Stones).

RIP Charlie.

Charlie Watts and Ringo Starr were my favorite rock drummers of the 60's. They weren't flashy but I loved their solid sound and thoughtful approach to a song's rhythm.

I do believe that he believed in music.

An amazing set of musicians, they'd put it right out there for all to see & believe. They paved a path, for those going to the Bridges of Babylon. Remember that tour, around the year 1997 AD. I spoke outside the stadium, passed out some pieces of papers with the word on it, along with some others. Their Album, Their Satanic Majesties, is a volume which caught many. There's the Light. And there's Rolling Stones wanting to Paint in Black. Sympathy For the Devil, the signature of their hope.

Charlie, did you take it to the end? Because I used to love her(him), but it's all over now.

What word was that? Music? Or "I'm_an_Idiot?"

Well then, why don't you specify what the word is? Or are you just trying to speak ill of the recently deceased?

The Bridges of Babylon Tour was in 1997. Those words were delivered 24 years ago. I've spoken no ill will of anyone. I just called them Amazing Musicians. I'm wondering if those words (lyrics) of the Rolling Stones worked out well.
