ORIGINAL: dereck 1. On the November 30, 1941 turn the Axis AI had me pressed and was pushing me back. On the December 7, 1941 turn the Axis AI stopped it's attacks and pulled back from the front lines some places leaving as much as 50 miles between them and me. I replayed the turn from a save I had and no matter what difficulty setting the AI did the same thing. Is this normal behavior for the AI during the first winter? 2. On map forces. The Soviets have 5,428,806. The Germans 2,800,572 and their allies 997,281. With these numbers how does are the Soviets doing? Thanks The Axis AI has a number of scripted shifts, at key phases. So it will press in Nov 41 and then pull back a bit. Later on it'll bail from Stalingrad if threatened after Oct 42 and out of the Baltics if you push towards Riga. There are a few others. As to your game, you have a very easy win on your hands. Generally, if you know what you are doing put the axis AI at least to 110, ideally to 120. The advantage there is it inflicts extra disruptions over and above combat (if you lose), to a large extent that compensates for a lack of pockets and will leave you with a constantly shredded army. But as ever, with the AI, play to have your own version of fun
