Has anyone come across this error message when launching the game? Error, Can't set screen mode. This is a fresh install of the game. This is my switch line;
-cpu4 -fd -skipVideo -dd_sw -deepColor -altFont -px1920 -py1080

Any suggestions would be helpful....GP

Can't remember having that error before.
Have you tried switching the screen mode to windowed instead of fullscreen?
Is your path linking to the correct .exe file?

Yes, I was going to suggest using the "force" switch on the window dimensions.

I copied your switches straight from your post into my shortcut (replacing the existing ones), and the game loaded right up. Whatever the problem, it's not them.

Have you recently changed operating systems? Windows10 is a lot pickier about the older programs it will run.

For a comfortable view of desktop in my laptop with 1920x1080 screen resolution windows 10 racommand a screen magnification of 125% (in the setting video options)
but if i set witpAE with that same resolution game don't start, i need to reset windows magnification to 100% so game starts.

The only resolution i have found functioning leaving windows magnification to 125% is the 1280x800 with whom game is perfectly playable and better than with 1920x1080
due to a bigger interface with comfortable text dimension and still a very good overall resolution.

I found a fix. I was trying to run the game on 1126a. When I added the beta, 1126b, It worked. Must have something to do with windows 10....GP
