Yeah, I know. But honestly, I still have a hard time taking it.

Is it not because of their based land experience at 50%?

Poor Greece. How about we help the Soviets instead?

Shall we? This is kind of radio silence on this topic since the last patch with the new garrison mode.

Sorry to ask or if I have missed something but I am more in Pacific than in Europe these days.

Sea invasion it falls easily.
Land invasion...
Still falls but takes quite a few panzers.

I think the Soviets are okay...though more testing is required.

I have only played one game from start till now...thought the Soviets are in trouble in that game but that is due to a lot of clear turns and some luck.

Personnaly i have no issue with having the option to try risky invasion as german (such as norway, greece, etc..). The greek army was quite good and performed well during WW2.

But i find that the reward for conquering new countries is a little underwhelming. (Expecially that you have to garrison and protect them after the conquest).
During WW2, germany litteraly plunder the occupied countries to fill its war machine. I would really love more loot

I think the reason for the silence is that there haven't been enough games played yet with the new garrison rules for anyone to really judge. My own very preliminary assessment is that the new Rule isn't enough to help Russia. But I really require more game experience.

Can't say anything myself, I am just starting a new game as Axis. All my other games were started before the latest patch.

As for Greece...

I rarely if ever attack them so they may be a little overpowered.

IF I was going to attack them, it may or may not be cheaper to just land an armored corps and drop in paratroopers around the capital.

Greece is a beast:

Though if you don't stop an amphibious landing on her or the Axis use paras they can kill her before she reinforces. Albania is terrible supply and the timeframe to take her is not fun.

In the game I am playing as the Allies, my opponent never invaded Greece or Yugoslavia. Greece has 5 production and 5 manpower but conquering it would mean more coastline for the Axis to defend against Allied invasions so is it worth it?

Yugoslavia: yes
Greece: not sure. I avoid it. Too many chances to fail...

If you take greece, you also have :
- Bulgaria (with a full corps).
- Crete and with Crete you can interdict Tobrouk by air.

But if the united kingdom manage to land troops in greece before you manage to take athen, you can be in big trouble !!

Yes, you should put the Italian fleet nearby just in case.
